One more day and so much to do

We leave tomorrow and I have so much left to do...but I find myself doing needless things instead..like washing windows

Let's see...I've got to finish packing, run a few errands for snacks for the drive down, run the van through the car wash, drop off my dogs, celebrate an early father's day w/ dad, laundry(always laundry ), go to the bank, mow the lawn (actually kids will do this), and the list goes on!

Why do we feel like everything has to be clean and in order when we go on vacation? I'm not too stressed about this part really...since most of my stuff is in boxes...since we are MOVING 2 days after we get home! First time we've ever moved...and it's happening just after we get back from our trip...believe me, if I had known it was going to work out this way, I would have planned differently.

I am also the planner for our Grand Gathering of 14 for this trip...my DH's family...all who have never been.

No wonder I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep So, where do I head...to the DIS of course!

I know everything will work out...and if it's too crazy...you'll find my butt parked at the POFQ pool...snoozing...

I know exactly what you mean! Leaving tomorrow too and where am I? On the computer! Still have to finish up the laundry and packing. Have all my errands and purchases done, but still a lot to do. I feel the same way about leaving a clean house...I just like coming home to that!

I too know how you feel about having everything in "order" before you leave. I always go crazy trying to get everything right before we leave! I drive myself nuts! Have a great trip!!

Me too. We leave on Sat morning and I'm sitting here, with my suitcases open, airing out for the 8th day in a row!! Our clothes are sitting in various piles in the bedrooms and I have about 4 lists of things to get done going. Yet, here I sit, reading DisBoards!!! I also like to leave the house picked up and neat. Not sure why though. My 32 y/o son is staying with us until August and I'm pretty sure he isn't going to be concerned with keeping the house all that clean for my return home!!!

Ah well....after dd gets on the bus I can start getting ready I guess. See you guys down there!! Safe trip all.

In the same boat here,we leave tonight still have to pack the van,another trip to the drug store for last items. work till 2;00 then nail and pedi appointment. The kids DS19 has not started to pack DD15 has not started either DD's friend (coming with us) just brought over her luggage for the trip enough to last a month,well atleast she packed .Im sure it will all work out and the trip with 3 teens and a 9 year old in the june heat will be wonderful(of course if its not there is alchol to turn to )

We don't leave for thirteen more days and all I want to do is pack so I can get it done. I'm holding out for a few more days though. I must really be nuts because we get to Orlando on the 29th but we're staying at the Hilton Airport Hotel in Philadelphia the night before so everything has to be done by the 28th and I have ds's school friends birthday party planned for the 25th. Of all years he decided he didn't want it out (Build a Bear or CHuckie Cheese or something liked that). Oh no he wanted a pool party - so that should be a zoo since I have to have all the parents also. Oh well that drink at the pool bar is sounding better and better!

Got almost everything done...need to load the van...will do that tonight.

Been on the DIS most of the day. I even called to make my final payment on the room(s)...I like checking in w/ a $0 balance! Funny thing is the CM asked if she could make some PS's for my trip...I told her...I'll be there in 2 days...she kinda chuckled..I guess they are just used to reading your arrival date to you and not realizing the actual date.

I think we're all set! Although, if I keep reading these boards, I'm bound to change my mind about something.

I HATE coming home to a messy house. I even fluff the pillows on the couch as we walk out the door.
