I have two year old twins. just off the phone after making a p.s. for crystal palace for dinner while we are there, and I asked if they charged for the twins. I was told no, unless they notice them eating their own plates of food, in which case yes, they would charge them for the child's fare. the twins are allowed to eat, but it is expected that they will just be eating off of our plates.

does that mean I can't get them little plates to put some of the food from my plate on? they don't eat much...and with the characters running around, I doubt they will even eat what little they do eat. but I'd like to be able to put something right in front of them.

anyone with experience in this? any advice?

Several people have mentioned taken paper plates of their own or the little placemats that are disposable for their little ones to eat from. :sunny:

Unless they have changed policies since Feb of 05 the CM was wrong! We have taken DS every year of his life and we have never paid for him at any Disney buffet until he was three. I am not sure they even charged us when he was 3. I keep thinking that with free dining, we don't even have to pay for him at 4 years old!

I really don't think I have paid for him at a buffet. I know I didn't when he was 2 and he had his own plate and we went to the buffet together to pick him out some food. I remember thinking they shouldn't charge us for DD but they should for DS because he used to eat more than she did when he was 2 and she was 6!

Children under 3 are FREE - enjoy while you can!!! ;)

When you make ressies, they ask for ages. We have never been charged for a child under age 3 and we also got our daughters their own plates!

thanks! the cm's response concerned me a bit. they are at that age where they want their own little plate, they don't want to have to be given food in bits and pieces.

We went last year when our son was two months off of 3. We were never charged at any of the character meals and he certainly had his own plate with his own food.

What a strange thing to say. I doubt any CM at the meals would expect you to feed your twins off of your plate. :confused3

If you are at a TS that is not family style or buffet (a place where you choose your meal from a menu) and you order your child something (sides, drink or a kids meal) then you will pay, but a 2y old can share with anyone :thumbsup2
