SNOW DAY today! heeheehee.

In exactly one month today my family will be picnicking on the beach in Florida....what should I make for the picnic? I'm thinking ham and cheese sandwiches, grapes and carrot sticks with cookies for dessert! After the picnic, we will walk on the beach for a while shell searching. Then it will start getting hot, so we'll hop in the ocean for a swim, then back to the hotel for another swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, haven't decided yet. Soon it will be dinner time and we'll leisurely pick the perfect restaurant. After dinner, we will walk on the beach again.......

CAN NOT WAIT! S

Get ready for a chilly Florida winter LOL. I was looking on teh weather network site and the weather for tomorrow was a high of 14 Celcius and a low of 1 celcius brrrr that is darn chilly for Florida. Hopefully the weather warms up a tad for you down there.

I'm going in 9 days and I've been watching the forecast.

The 10 Day forecast for Orlando shows temperatures jumping to 78 degrees just before we arrive..

We are leaving in three weeks! Can't wait. It is -20 here this morning. Tired of the cold.
Where are you going in Florida? Will it be warm enough to swim in the ocean? We were at Fort Myers in February once and it was too cold for us to swim in the ocean. In Orlando I know the pools are heated and they will be fine. We enjoyed that much more actually in February (when we usually go) and since Ft. Myers was so cold, we did not even go to the beaches near Orlando.
This time we are going to Orlando and the to Key Largo (DH's idea) for a few days. I'm hoping the water will be warm enough to swim there, otherwise, I would be just as happy to stay in Orlando by the heated pool!
Looking forward to Florida. I bought a new swimsuit at Aqua during their discount sale a few weeks ago - cute tankini. Just ordered a new swimsuit from the Land's End Overstock - great price with a wrap to match. Love swimsuit shopping when I am pale and it is snowy outside - NOT!

We are flying into MCO then driving to Ormond Beach [North Daytona]. We will stay there three days before heading to WDW for a week. I booked an apartment-type hotel in Ormond Beach for a "cottage" feel and enough room to spread out. It has an indoor and outdoor pool and it's on the beach. I booked ocean front as I love watching the sun rise!

We are staying at CBR for a week after the beach. We LOVE CBR, it's the most relaxing place for us!

I find the weather pattern this year is the same as last year....70's in mid to late Feb and then BEAUTIFUL 80's in March!
