Isn’t this pretty?
Disney2009285.jpg

Yes! ::yes::

I hope you framed this one.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about the big budget buster!! But, like you said, it's nice that you have a trip still to look forward to!

BEAUTIFUL Castle pictures!!! :cloud9: I haven't watched from the Rose Garden ever, might have to check that out for a future trip.

That is awful about the ice cream incident. Drives me nuts when that stuff happens...! Good for you for standing up and getting that elderly woman's! :thumbsup2

OH! I just love those castle pictures. I made one of mine the desktop on my computer. Your rose picture is gorgeous!
Stinks about the ice cream snitchers! But Wishes, ice cream and a stroll down Main Street is a wonderful way to end the day!
I wish I was there.

Thank you!! I also made one of the Wishes photos my desktop picture. They're so pretty! :goodvibes

Oh, I feel your pain with the braces! I think we are going to luck out and Justin isn't going to need them, but Jared's mouth is a jumbled mess! The dentist told me at his last appointment that I could wait until summer but then we were going to have to take him to the orthodontist - I'm scared to see what that bill is going to look like

On to your update - that photo of the rose with the castle in the background is gorgeous! I love it!

Isn't Wishes just the best way to end an evening? :cloud9:

Too bad those rude people had to put a damper on your mood :headache:

I'm very glad to be helping my girls' smiles but the pricetag is so hard to swallow. We'll be paying about $14k out of pocket (no ortho insurance) when all is said and done because of how complex the cases are, especially Mykenah. Hers will be in two phases and might need oral surgery also because of the way her jaw is growing. It stinks.

I was pretty happy with the way that rose photo did turn out. I'm not a great photographer like you and so many others are so it made me smile.
:)

Wishes is always so wonderful to watch at any time of the year, but I bet it was extra magical with those castle lights! :goodvibes

What a family with the ice cream! Kudos to you for stepping up and claiming that older woman's ice cream! :thumbsup2

It was really special, I'm so glad we made the time to sit down and watch the whole show. :cloud9: That poor older lady. I felt really bad for her.

Sounds like you guys had a GREAT spot for Wishes!! I'll definitely keep that spot in mind in April. :thumbsup2

It was a perfect spot for us. Not crowded at all and a really nice view of the show. :thumbsup2

Yes! ::yes::

I hope you framed this one.

Thanks MeMom. I'm working on getting them all printed and framed today actually. :cheer2:

Thanks Brook! Definitely a budget buster. Oh well, there's no way to avoid it so we'll just save as much as we can for October 2011. :teacher: If you can watch from the Rose Garden next time, give it a try. We really enjoyed it. I also get a little upset when I see people take advantage of things like that.

As I said to MeMom, today I'm working on uploading all of our trip photos online and then am going to order prints. I have never done that before with all of our photos. Holy spendy! I think I have over 800 to order. I have my eye on a couple Disney frames online for some special ones and then am going to hunt down a Disney album as well. I want as many keepsakes of our wonderful trip as I can! :thumbsup2

Looks like the Rose Garden was an excellent Wishes viewing location. I may have to scope it out sometime!

The castle is so beautiful!!! I loved your video. It was hilarious listening to you yelling "Look, look!!!!" when Tinker Bell was flying over! I am the same way. I think I get more excited than my DD. Isn't that why we love Disney.......... you can't help but feel like a kid again when you are there!

I just wanted to say I have sat and read your tr from the start tonight and I think you have wrote it briliantly.I am really enjoying it and will definatly be back for more x

That was an awesome update! Except for the rude family -- ugh! Good for you, though, stepping up to claim the older woman's ice cream. :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, I always cry at Wishes. Always. Tink flew right over our heads, too, and I was so happy. There were actually several times during the trip that I got so giddy and excited that I actually clapped my hands and jumped up and down. :goodvibes

I love all your pictures. I'm so glad you're going to print and frame a bunch -- I need to do that with some of mine!

OMG quickly move to the UK the girls braces would be free :thumbsup2

It looks like you had a lovely spot for Wishes and it looked like there were hardly any people there too :thumbsup2

The ice-cream thing sounds so strange, why would you take cones with people waiting before you :headache:

I'm just joining in and loving the report. It looks like so much fun!
I knew when you said braces...it would be mega bucks. I just had a root canal and crown..$2000.00 :scared1: We have no dental insurance at all either. I also had braces in my mid 30's. I just had the top ones and nothing done to my jaw(though if I had them younger I would've) and it was like $3000 for just that, might've been $5000. I can't remember for sure now. I also had two bridges put in after the braces..Lets just say I have probably close to $15,000 in my mouth now! Most done in the last 7-10 years. :scared1: Your girls will thank you so much though. I wish my mom would've done it. I had a huge gap between my front teeth and crooked teeth on top as well. And baby teeth that never fell out. I was very conscious of my smile all my life, and now I smile broadly. i am so happy with it.

Again. I am loving your report and can't wait for more!!!!

The rose garden seemed like the perfect viewing spot! And the Castle colors were really pretty in your pictures... I even noticed what looked like a pale pink that I've never seen in any others!

Aren't you glad you took that rest?! :thumbsup2

Kathy

It's funny how just a little interaction like that can make such an impression especially at the end of the night....I'm glad you stepped in on behalf of someone who probably wouldn't have been able to get up there fast enough.

Good for you!

Hi! I am late but all caught up!

Great report so far, I am loving your adventures!

And props for standing up for the other family, I'd have done the same thing- except I call it "getting all NY on them". LOL.

okay, i am a late comer too and just finished your whole report so far, really loving it! What a beautiful family! you guys really managed to fit so much in every day! I can't wait to read the rest. Love your wishes pics, especially the one with the rose!

We arrived just at the end of your trip- on 12/10 and stayed through 12/20. what a great time of year to go, isn't it? can't wait to read more of your adventures!!!

Heehee. I was super excited. I'm sure some thought I looked a little dorky perhaps? Oh well!! You are right, it's such a magical place and just takes away all of your worries. :goodvibes

Well thank you!! And :welcome: Please stick around.

The music, the narrator, the atmosphere, watching the kids' eyes light up, everything just gets me so weepy at Wishes. Thank you for keeping up with my report!! I need to go peek in on yours today. :thumbsup2

How about it we take a mini vacation? Do you think the UK would mind footing the bill for two sets then? LOL!! How wonderful that they take care of stuff like that for you. How very generous. Wasn't the ice cream situation strange? It was just so bizarre. :rolleyes1

Isn't dental/ortho care just so cost outrageous? I think it's wonderful that you got the braces as an adult though. To tell you the truth, I've been thinking about doing it too lately. Maybe after my girls are all done and some of that money is freed up monthly? I could sure use a better smile. Thank you for joining in here. :flower3:

Thanks Josh. It made me feel good to make sure the lovely older lady received what she paid for. :)

Hi Kat!! Welcome!! Getting all NY on them? Hilarious!!!

Did you ever make it back there for your snack?

They both looked beautiful!

I love your fireworks shots; you had a great spot!

We didn't make it back to Goofy's that day. But don't be too sad for me. You will soon see I was quite determined to make it back there before we went home. Thank you so much for your compliments!! :cloud9:
