One Mom and Three Kids Tackle the World in a Week - Dec '09 Trip Report - Complete :)

I agree Jackie. Everyone should get a turn, right? The rest of the kiddos have July birthdays so not sure if we will go then or maybe do a half birthday birthday sort of thing. Not a huge fan of heat! I would love to have an AP too!

I may feel differently after the trip, but I have already told Charles we will never be traveling to Disney in July ever again. Half-birthday trips would be so much better in my eyes because that would be about January or February, right? A nice escape from the winter weather in your neck of the woods. :thumbsup2

I don't know much about the annual passes, but wouldn't it be expired by the time you went in Oct.2011 if you bought it in Sept this year?

We would be going in May 2011. So if I buy it for this September trip, I can definitely use it again in May next year. :)

 I really like air conditioning!! Humid air and I do not really mix. I hope your July trip goes well Jackie. And being a teacher, I know it's hard to take a week off during the school year.

Don't know if this is still the case or not, but when I bought mine I got 15 months instead of 12. If they are still doing that it would work for your October trip as well! Plus you can get some great room discounts with your AP. :thumbsup2

Now that would be awesome!!! Thank you Michelle!! :goodvibes

I think that sounds fantastic! I know the airfare must be outrageous for a large family. I don't know how you do it. I don't blame you at all for splitting things up like that and making several smaller trips. I would love to do that (well I wouldn't EVER want to fly 4 times a year :scared1::scared1::scared1:, but I'm weird I guess). But other than that, I think it is a great plan. I think you will enjoy each trip more by not having so many children to watch over all at one time. I get so paranoid in a crowded place with my DD, so I know that has to be stressful for you at times. I think your trips would seem more like vacations and be more relaxed. I really hope all your plans work out! Question is............................do you have time to do 4 trip reports a year?????

There you are. :) You are right, airfare is crazy expensive for us!! I think just keeping an eye on one or two of the kiddos would be a breeze, compared to all four. Hmmm, not sure I can fit that many TRs in. We'll see.... ;)

Ok friends, I think I am going to wrap this one up. I've been writing since January and have had so much fun making new friends along the way. I appreciate the many comments on my TR and it was so wonderful for you all to join along with me as I re-lived all of our magical trip memories. What very kind Disney friends I have. Thank you, thank you. :goodvibes I wish each and every one of you lots of perfect Disney trips in your future. I also hope to see you all around the Dis!! Until then....

It was a lot of fun. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
See you around other trip reports until you are ready to start another one of your own. :)

Thanks Kelli - hope to see you around on the other threads - come by my PTR and future TR! If you're ever in the Twin Cities, let me know and maybe we can have a DISmeet!

Nooo...it can't be over...

Sorry I was MIA for so long...

FYI, since flying in an out of where you are in such a pain. I'd combine the May/Oct trips into a longer stay in October.

As far as treating the girls to a special trip, on the October trip, make one day or portion of a day all about each of them. You can even do a mom/daughter day....3-4 day trips are such teasers. If you could make the october trip a bit longer....

Glad to find your report still open... You finished when I was taking a little DIS break with all of the end of the school year craziness going on! Thanks for sharing all of your ups & downs!

I hope you'll write reports for your future trips! I'll be along for the ride. :goodvibes
