Im looking on a website right now and it gives a 2 out of 5 rating from teens because some found it boring. Now maybe I am a nerd but I am teen and I found very interesting and neat to learn about the man behind the magic...

You sound like someone who can appreciate the accomplishments of gifted individuals.

However, as you likely know from observing many in your age group (as I certainly did), many teens don't "like" anything that doesn't give them immediate gratification.

Seeing how those with humble beginnings and many early failures, like Walt Disney, have risen to be among the most successful and celebrated individuals on the planet can be inspirational to anyone with hopes of achieving his or her own superior accomplishments in life.
Disney had a steadfast desire to succeed using his own ideas, and he (along with the talents of MANY other gifted staff and loyal family members) made it happen... to heights even Walt could not have imagined.

As a child and teen, I always loved the Disney movies, TV shows and theme parks, and I always wanted to work in the same industry. I went to college and go my broadcasting degree and have been working in the Radio/TV and video production business ever since.
Walt Disney's legacy is the highest quality standard that I use as a benchmark.

"One Man's Dream" is a great "back-stage" look at all things that Walt used to build a place as COOL as Disneyland and WDW.
Any teen or adult who likes the parks should really enjoy seeing the early stages of creation.

But again, its not a "roller-coaster." ;)

Teehee... That made me giggle. :teeth: :goodvibes

I think it would really depend on the teen. When I was a teen, I couldn't get enough of One Man's Dream. I thought it was just the best idea ever! My DB17, however, would rather stand in front of an oncoming monorail than be dragged into something so 'boring'.

I'm 17 (turning 18 in January :teeth: ) and I LOVE One Man's Dream, but that is probably due to the fact that I love Disney. But I say that anyone who doesn't hate Disney will enjoy that attraction.

I think if a teen is a lover of Disney as a concept and a man and not just theme parks and rides, One Mans Dream would be a winner. I know my 12 year old son loves it and has picked that as our first thing to do on our next trip in three weeks! But he is very interested in the history of Disney and the man who created it. My family of four can spend an hour browsing thorugh the preshow exhibits and just totally lose track of time and place. So I guess we are nerds too!

My girls (12 and 16) love One Man's Dream. They appreciate the true genius that Walt Disney was and all that he gave us. All three of us leave the theatre a little misty eyed after seeing the show. It gets us every time.

Only people who really appreciate disney, and want to know whats responsible behind the magic truly appreciates this attraction.

I think it is mixed about how teens like it. I have seen some sleep through the movie and others circle back around so they can see everything again. The rating is probably because it doesn't have any speed associated with it.

We all go through phases, and honestly some teens today(not saying you, maybe the other 3 of 5) nothing is new enough, good enough or fast enough(have you seen "Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV"? I am still praying that is a small minority.

What park is this at? Ive never heard of it.

my DS who is 15 loved it and used it as a starting place to study the whole Disney industry. He can spout facts and figures I didn't even know existed! I guess I should mention that he also wants to be an animator, so that could really be the real reason.

We saw it in August. DS15 loved it, but he's a Walt Disney history nut. DD17 is not so much, but she liked it, too.

It's a very interesting self-paced attraction that I'd encourage everyone to visit at least once. They had some incredible memorabilia on display, like Walt's actual office from the 50's with furniture and the whole 9 yards. You don't have to stay for the movie, but it's excellent, too. I wish it wasn't so out of the way so more people could visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it. :thumbsup2
