Do you want to know why Loverboy was bad?

Jennifer Lopez stole Mariah's sample. Mariah was recording the album and she was going to use this sample, I think it's something from Yellow Magic Orchestra. Anyways, J.Lo heard about it and took the sample and used it in her album (which was released first since Mariah was still shooting Glitter).

Anyways, do you know what the sample was used in? I'm Real..... it's the background of the song.. you'll hear it.

In Loverboy Remix, Da Brat makes fun of J.Lo saying something to the effect of imitating Mariah (which she does). J.Lo has been groomed to take over Mariah at Sony Records though.

But J.Lo really can't sing and there's this rivalry brewing between the two. Mariah really can't stand J.Lo for thiefing that sample. And so Mariah had to use Candy by Cameo for Loverboy. hence it's not as good.

And now Mariah posts top security on all her new songs, to prevent stealing like that. And that's the story.... betcha didn't know that!
