Our house looks like a disaster with all partially packed suit cases and boxes, but we're so close to our much anticipated vacation :Pinkbounc One last question, we are staying on site and have a rewards card with quite a bit on it. What we would like to do is charge everything to the room while we're there and pay when we check out. Here's my question: What will we not be able to charge to our room? I want to make sure we bring cash if we need to (we will for tips), but I don't want to have real money if we don't need it. Will we need it for quick foods, epcot tastings, or anything else? Thanks for any replies and let the magic begin :yo-yo: :sunny:

You can use your room key to charge almost everything to your room....food/souvenirs at small kiosks may not take anything but cash, for tipping you'll need cash. I would take some just in case, but you should be able to put most anything on your room charge. Ya know my saying "better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!" (I'd take a couple of $20's and start there...after you're there a few days, you'll know what you'll need to carry around). Have a fun trip...say "Hi" to ::MickeyMo and ::MinnieMo for us!!!

I don't think you can charge at the small food places, like for popcorn, ice cream stands, those type places. I think everywhere else takes them even like the Rainforest CAfe in DTD.

At the food carts and merchandise carts without registers, you will not be able to charge to the room. I found it easy to travel with my rewards card. They would swipe it just like your room key. The receipt will show the amount left on the card.

just back and we charged even the small icecream cart purchases to our room. We only ran into one thing the entire trip that we could not and that was a turkey leg from a cart in WS at Epcot. The only reason was that the machine was down but it could be fine now. We got to the point that we didnt carry any cash and kind of resented it when we went to US and IOA and had to pay cash again, lol.

Buy the way, make your souvenir purchases BEFORE your last day cause the delivery to your room takes a full day most of the time. We waited til last day (cause then we knew what was left in our budget for the extras and had to carry it all over the park.

Thanks for all the resposes. We'll probably take a little bit of cash, just in case. I love the idea of using my room key and the rewards card as it is all recorded and we'll be able to tell what we REALLY spent :earseek: I'll report back next week what we find when we're in the parks in regard to this issue. I can't believe the trip is almost here :Pinkbounc It seemed like such a long way away last spring. Let the magic begin.... :wave2:

Anything to other posters replys but would like to wish you a magical vacation(I saw your countdown)have lots of fun and hope you enjoy great weather during your stay.::yes:: :wave2:

Since F&W festival is going on right now at Epcot, I've read that it is better to have cash on hand to sample all the offerings along World Showcase. There are food and beverages available to try normally offered in that Pavilion's restaurants, but I think it may be cash only, or at least easier to pay cash, especially if everyone in your group wants to try different items from various countries.
