I'm considering the new 60G iPod (happy birthday to me), but do I need the service agreement or have they been pretty reliable so far? I don't want to spend the extra $50 from my WDW fund if I don't have to!

Buy the service agreement. You never know. If you are a student or educator, you can get a pretty significant discount on the service agreement.

I am very very very careful with my 30 G photo. I use a belt clip, have a good hard case, etc.. But last week, while I was walking, the Ipod somehow fell out of the pocket it was clipped to and fell on the sidewalk.

Then the screen went blank! A lock icon finally came up on the screen but the lock button on top was set to OFF. I couldn't load turn on or anything.

If I didn't buy the service agreement in June when I bought my Ipod I would have been SOL. Since I had the agreement, they were able to fix it no questions asked.

Actually, my son has had the frowny face come up twice on his ipod in the past 10 months and they replaced it both times-and we NEVER purchased the warranty. He has the mini. I guess he just must be a very persuasive 13 yr old because both times he just called them and they sent him a box. The whole transaction was done in a week both times.

Happy Birthday to you! I gave myself an ipod shuffle for my birthday too. It is today! :cool1: 30 again! :rotfl:

Don't have any knowledge on the service agreement! Just wanted to say Happy Birthday!
