One inconvenient, frustrating thing...

OK, there were more than one, but one big thing in all the parks that really bothered me last week was that NONE of the line wait time boards are used anymore. You know the ones I mean; they listed each ride (or at least the biggies) and the standby wait time, located near the Hub at MK, near Starring Rolls at HS, at the far end of the bridge in AK, and in the central area "behind" Spaceship Earth at Epcot. I wish Disney would realize that not everyone has a smart phone or iPad. We always consulted the boards when deciding where to head for in each park. Alas, not anymore...

I can see how that could be frustrating for you but I can also see that it would be inconvenient to have to continually walk back to those spots just to see ride times. Disney is trying to help more people by providing the times via apps. I would definitely think you are in the minority for not having a smart phone at a Disney park. Unfortunately they do what is best for the majority of people.

Even the electronic boards aren't used now? That is inconvenient because I don't bring my phone.

I also do not have a smart phone and miss the boards with the wait times.. really, did they take up that much space??

They're used. IDK what was going on when you were there OP:confused3 but they are still used.

We were there 11/7-11/12. In each park, not only was there nothing listed on the boards, but they weren't even electronic; there was a solid board in the place where the listings used to be. While we didn't run back to check them all the time, they were handy when deciding where to go first, or as we were passing by, and they'd give you some idea of what the crowds might be like. Anyhow, when we were there, there were solid, hard, colored boards in place of the electronic screens. As it happened every day, in all 4 parks, it just seemed that this was part of the "wave of the future" at Disney.

Can't speak to befor 13 but I went to Epcot on 13 and electronic boards were being used and did display wait times (alternated ever 15 secs or so between that and ads).

I was in Epcot the 9th, 10th, and 11th and saw the electric board in use. Could have sworn I saw it in HS too but I'm not 100% sure. I know I saw Epcot though bc my husband suggested going back to consult it and I just pulled out my phone.

There's actually 3 inside Epcot. Big one behind Spaceship Earth, then a scrolling one in front of Mission Space and in front of The Land pavilion

We were there from the 6-16 and all wait time boards were working.
