You are all good! I always seem to carry so much stuff with me for some mad reason.

What do you do with passports though. I'm reluctant to leave them in the room. Carrying them with me seemed like a good alternative but they are a nuisance and of course there is always the concern about bag snatchers and the like.

I suppose putting them in the hotel safe is the best option but knowing me, I'd forget to collect them on the way out and end up stranded! You can't win, can you

I had just edited my post to say that our room at the Explorers has a safe but if it didn't I would lock them in my suitcase. On saying that, I am too afraid to do that when we overnight in London before coming to DLRP in case they are stolen and we can't travel. Like you, I am too afraid to leave them at the hotel reception in case I forget to collect them, so I end up carrying five passports around in my bag and constantly keep checking they are still there!

I lock my travel documents in my suitcase.

We lock all our documents in our cases too - if anyone wants to break in then hopefully the cash will be more attractive than our passports. Travelling within the EU after passports have been stolen would be pretty easy these days.

We have occasionly sent clients home with only a police report as they haven't had time to go to the consulate to get travel documents.

I would worry about standing at the crossing with everyone else on the bus held up because I'd either lost or had my passport stolen. It's only a little thing so I do prefer to keep it on my person. I use one of those neck purses and tuck any spare cash in there also. Shoved under a sweater it's not noticeable

On each of our previous visits Emily has been in nappies so we've had to take nappies, wipes, nappy sacks on top of everything else. Now she's clean and that's one of the big pluses for us re our next trip - which we think will be in November.

Joanne, Our DD is still in nappies but will be out of them for next trip. That kind of stuff takes up so much room. It will be much easier next trip. It's kind of sad though don't you think, big step in their maturity (feels like I'm losing my little baby girl) but gaining a lovely little madame She is now dictating what she wears each day, which usually involves a dressy dress, tights,hair accessories, jewellery and a hand bag. Nightmare when you are rushing out in morning!!

Apart from when your in the middle of a long queue and that is the moment that they decide they need to go to the toilet!!. which is typical!!
