One Direction Tickets!!!

We will be trying again for Charlotte tomorrow and Saturday. We were so far up in Raleigh, too, that I want to get better seats this time. We had fun in Raleigh and it was a smaller venue, but I don't want to drive to Charlotte to sit on the lawn.

Don't put them on Stub Hub until you talk to me! :rotfl2:

Ha! Will do. On the drive home from school, even though she has NO idea i have tickets, she said we need to research the 5 star hotels in Charlotte so we can figure out where they are staying and reserve a room! Maybe the Omni based on this video - sooo funny watching :)

Oooh - that's brilliant! Not sure I can afford the five star hotel after the tickets, though! :rotfl2:

I actually thought it would be worse...but yes that sure is enough! We had 4 tix last summer and I was so tempted to sell Dh's 1d ticket..going price was 610! He sat thru the concert and watched a ballgame on his phone....:goodvibes. I might sell mine if I do better on other seats...THANKS!

LOL! I didn't even bother to get my DH one because he would do the same... watch a ball game or something. I'm going to make a weekend of it with the girls. I've booked a hotel downtown using Hilton points. We'll take the train into the city early Saturday, do a bit of shopping, dinner and then the Concert. Stay in the city until early afternoon Sunday ( maybe hit a museum or Navy Pier), take the train back home.

Anyone have the presale code for today? Finale is not working or maybe I'm just too early.

Second show added to Gillette Stadium on August 8 , presale code is Ireland.

Tickets are:
112.50
102.05
62.05
44.05

How funny! Unfortunately in the DC metro area, there's more than a few to choose from...

We got confirmation this morning that DH's client can get us into a box for the Toronto show. I was going to try and purchase tickets when they go on sale but it never works for me. So, I spread the word last week that I needed at least 2 tickets. It turns out that one of DH's clients is high up at Ticketmaster and will help us out. My DD is going to have a stroke when she finds out. Now I just have to figure out if she will be getting this for Christmas or for her birthday which is in March. I don't know if I can keep this to my self until March...she's been mentioning the concert daily and is trying to talk me into getting tickets.

That is so awesome for you dancin Disney style:) I wish I had a contact at Ticketmaster! My girls would die for awesome seats at Soldier Field in Chicago. Congrats!!

While it is super exciting and killing me to keep the secret these won't be awesome seats. It's a Skybox which is a corporate box that is up high. I'm VERY sure that my DD won't care so much about the seats...she will be so thrilled just to be there. We might be getting 4 tickets so she will be able to bring 2 friends.

I hear you on that.....I got tickets in August last year and kept it a secret until December and she was so surprised it was worth the wait. However it was a sold out show so she felt it hopeless to even ask...This year I decided to wait until Feb. for her bday to tell her. However if she was asking daily I would do Christmas. So many kids will get them at Christmas maybe your DD would be worried she was't going if she didn't get them ? And letting her pick friends to go with is a huge present as well.....I say Christmas for you!!!!:thumbsup2

I'm thinking Christmas just because I want to video her reaction and that will be an easy time to do it...if it's as good as I think it will be we will Vine it. There would be no problem with her thinking she's not going because concerts are not something we do....here, a cheap concert ticket is about $100-125. I just don't spend money on things like that. She'll keep asking just on the way off chance that I might say OK but deep down knowing that the answer will be no.

My only issue with giving this as part of her Christmas gift is that I like to keep the gifts equal between my 2 girls. They are both old enough to understand situations like this but I feel really bad when my youngest gets more than her sister. Which is often....they are 14 and 23....the oldest has a good job but goes to school full time and lives at home totally free. All her money is her own. The youngest is too young to get an after school job so has only what we give her. So there is a great inequality there and I have a feeling that the older one thinks her sister is favoured.

We bought DD tickets & she cried when we told her. She was thrilled(and still is).

Ah. I get it...Well if you can keep the surprise secret....go for it!!! since I last typed I decided I can't keep it secret lol. I think I will surprise DD on Christmas. She is an only child and I tend to go overboard. But she normally buys and saves her money very well (runs her own dog walking business) so the big items she craves computer new guitar sony ps3 she saves for herself. So I am in need of a WOW gift this year so I may just make this it!!!

Honestly the diff between 23 and 14 is huge. I would think the 23 would understand about concert tickets and not feel an inequality since she is a working person etc. I say give them at Christmas and maybe tell dd23 beforehand or have a special extra gift for dd23?

I'm giving the girls their tickets for Christmas. It's killing me though, because my 12 yr old is obsessed and constantly bugging me about getting tickets. So I've gone online searching for tickets with her, claiming that I will not waste the money unless we can get good seats- 100 level or floor. Fortunately for me only the high 300's and 400 seats are popping up. She is going to got nuts on Christmas morning especially when she sees what great seats we have. :rotfl:

MWAHAHA :stir:.....she just 'casually' mentioned that the tickets went on sale today. Since I was on the computer when she said it I opened the Ticketmaster site. Sad to report that the show is sold out :sad1: The poor child stomped up the stairs to her room.

I have to make this a Christmas gift....I'm gonna' be mother of the year

As far as a special extra gift for the oldest....we just spent $300 fixing her car, bought a set of snow tires for it and paid $120 for the registration. I'm not at all complaining about doing any of it. Her dad thinks she should at least pay part of it...I think we should pay for it while she's still a student. She is going to have to face up to the fact that she's an adult and those are the kinds of gifts your parents buy you after you have reached a certain age. She's still getting some nice stuff under the tree though....portable hard drive for her laptop, perfume, sweater, PJ's and there will be a stocking full for nice things as well.

Everyone happy with their One Direction tickets Christmas morning? My DD was very surprised and excited!
