My daughter and i are headed to Southern California tomorrow for some college visits....we are staying at the Grand Californian for 2 nights Thursday and Friday.......we have most of Friday free and are planning a park (s) visit that day.........Dl closes at 7pm that night and DCA is open until 11. We have been to DL before, but never to DCA. So it seems obvious that we should go for DCA, however i have heard folks say that its only a 1/2 day park.......and that we'd run out of things to do........would love some opinions. We can either purchase a $70 1 day-1 park ticket or a $100 1 day-2 park hopper.......logistically i don't know how easy it is to move between the two parks, so i don't know if the 2 park hopper would ever be worth it. I would love to hear anyones thoughts who would like to offer a suggestion!

thanks!

Get the parkhopper. The 2 entrances are an extremely short walk from each other. Lots you can get done in both parks especially by hopping back and forth.

Even though I feel that DCA has plenty to offer and you could easily spend a whole day there and have enough to do, I'd still say if the extra expense isn't a big concern to get the parkhopper. Start your day in Disneyland since it will open earlier, parkhop as desired throughout the day, and finish your day at DCA since it closes later. The entrances are directly across from each other, so it's very easy to hop back and forth. Read the tips on these boards so you can figure out which rides you might enjoy most, best suggested ride order, and how to make the most of fastpass. Have a great time!

Ditto! I love Disneyland AND DCA, but if I may be blunt, while I think DL is worth a $76 one-day, one-park ticket, I don't feel the same way about DCA. I DO think that the two together are worth $101 or whatever it is now, however, if that makes sense? Park-hopping is so easy and I don't think you'd regret springing for the hopper :)

I would get the 2 day if not go to DCA. While people call it a half day park, It really isn't anymore. TSMM and WoC add on 3 hours of fun. Plus it will have ElecTRONica going on and this will make for a really fun evening.
