We have visited WDW many times, but this time is different. My son has graduated from high school and will be moving out to go to college in a little over a month!

I am a single dad and have planned a big cross country trip for him and a couple of his buddies. (Train, car, WDW and cruise)

Here is my question. We can squeez in one park (probably Epcot...btw, when did it change from EPCOT to Epcot? :rolleyes1 ) I have booked a cabin in the wilderness area...We have never stayed there. Will this be a good choice for 5 grown men for one night. It was either this or get two rooms. We leave ona cruise the next day. So here is the plan...Arrive in orlando, one night at the wilderness cabin, i day ticket and meal plan then off the next day..

I know the choice is ours, but would appreciate any feedback on this location.

THANKS!

The cabins are great, it has a double bed and 2 bunk bed in the back bedroom and a murphy double bed in the living room area, kitchen. But it only has 1 bathroom. If you had more time this is a good place as there are many things to do. You may want to stay nearer to Epcot, in 2 rooms at maybe a value resort since you will not be needing a kitchen and then you will have 2 bathrooms. Or check out the new suites at the allstars music. It will sleep 6 and you have 2 bathrooms, refrig coffee maker. I think with this many grown up you would need 2 bathrooms. :sunny:

Sounds great. But the murphy is not that comfy. Some of the boys can use the comfort station for showers. Have a great time. We always take the boat to MK then hop on the momarail for EPCOT. (I didn't know it changed)

We visited in 2000 with DH, DS, DD, our college-aged friend and myself. Even though our kids were little ones then, I found it to be a bit crowded. You need to move things around in the "living room" area to pull out the murphy bed.

I know you are only staying for one night but I echo the other poster's advice and would recommend two rooms @ a value resort.

Besides, the transportation for the cabins takes a bit of practice and staying one night will take up too much time for their bus system.

Maximize your time at the park, not waiting for transportation...

If you are just doing 1 park, and doing EPCOT, I would stay at one of the hotel on the boardwalk, then you can just walk there, and not worry about bussing, which can take some time from the cabins.
