Hi all. It's been over 6 years since I have been to Disney. I now have two small children ages 2 and 5. We are moving to the Tampa area this summer from NY and will be down in Tampa this February to look at houses. We would like to drive to Disney for one of those days and take the kids. I have a ton of points on my Disney Visa so I thought hey why not have a little fun even if it's only for one day. I am thinking MK is out because the thought of cramming that into one day is frightening to me!! So I was thinking of doing Epcot instead. I figure they have to kidcot stations in the countries, Frozen ride, and The Seas for the kids. We will also have my dad and sister with us. Wanted to get some other opinions. We are not able to spend more than a day, due to time regulations and the nature of our visit. Thanks!!

Is there more than one Disney park in Orlando right now? ;)

I think your looking at this as a vacation and not that your preparing to move here. After you move, your still not going to get 2 days to do MK. You're going to come over for a day or even a few hours.. What you do in any park is going to be different and it's going to be the best times in your life doing little to nothing and just being able to stop in.. When you can say "we can come back tomorrow or next weekend" or jump in the car when you hear it's very low crowds and it's all more accessible.

So you described MK as a vacationer, it takes 2 full days to do everything. Are you really planning to spend a night often once you move? You're telling kids your spending a day at disney. Go spend it at MK and just enjoy being there knowing very soon you'll be living in don't really need a reason driving distance (that with traffic takes less time than people in orlando to get too). It's ok to skip things and just enjoy the place and relax and have a great family day. You will be back very soon.

Isn't it kind of like sacrilege NOT to go to Magic Kingdom...at least first! Or has my spouse been lying to me for 30 years ?

I vote for lying but for some, they aren't at disney until they see that castle. Next trip, see the castle and tell her ok we saw MK, lets go do the park I want the rest of the day. I recommend the TTC as you don't need a ticket to see the castle.

Yes I'm single but it worked for a daughter all these years and a teenager can be far worse than a spouse if you trick them.

My first thought is for MK, but it really depends on when you think you will visit again after your February trip
