I think I've come up with a happy medium for us that won't cost us a park ticket -- maybe we'll drive to Downtown Disney, take in the Cirque show and see the new surroundings. Last time we were there they were in the midst of construction.
If you have time, you might want to hop on a bus over to the Contemporary Resort and do a tour of the monorail resorts. They are beautifully decorated at Christmas time. :) Won't cost you a penny, unless you decide to make a purchase while you are there. :santa:

Mmmmm, love the roasted chestnuts at Grand Floridian.

I would...spend the day at MK (take in the Christmas atmosphere there), and then hop on the monorail to all 3 monorail resorts to see the Christmas decorations there. Choose one of those, have a nice dinner and head back to the park till close. That's just me. You'll enjoy however you decide to spend your time. It's Disney! ...at Christmas!

I've taken maybe 4 or 5 trips down where I only had one day in the parks. Each and every time I hit Epcot. It is my favorite park. As it is right now that would be my choice unless it was after Avatar opened. I think the movie was unwatchable garbage that had less entertainment value than a root canal but I think the land will be worth seeing and have good attractions so I'd hit that to see something new.
