We just spent one day at DLP on April 5th. We were on a 15 day trip that included London, Paris, Rome and Malta. I orginaly decided not to visit disney due to the cost and so much else to see and do. But after I found out about the tickets on the french site we decided to do it. We have been to WDW twice and I am a life long Mickey fan.
We took the RER train from Paris, my DH, me, DD 11 and DS 8. It was not a quick and easy as I was led to believe, but we got there. The weather was cool and drizzling. We discussed buying jackets a few times but we just toughed it out. We only bought the one park tickets and went to Disneyland not the Studios.
The tickets we easlily accepted at the gate, we did need to show ID. We used our US drivers licenses.
The park was not croweded. We were disappointed a few rides were closed and many of the cart venders too. I really wanted to do Captain EO but it was closed.
Overall the day was great. It was not a magical as WDW, but a nice change from all our sightseeing. We did pin trade with some CMS and it went well for the most part. One questioned my sons trade but let him do it in the end. I was disappointed to find no mickey rice krispy treats or ice creams. Two of my favorites at WDW. The resturants all closed early except the few on main street. We were left eating at the same place we had eaten lunch.
We were able to use the fast pass system to get on a few rides such as Buzzlight year and big thunder mountain. We didn't see any characters except thier Buddy bear (?) and captain jack sparrow walked past us.. We didn't seek any out, as the kids were not as interested in that.
