We will attempt MK, Epcot, and DHS all in one day. Where should we start? What shouldn't we miss? What would the perfect itinerary look like?

:welcome: to posting on the DISboards, Shanna!

Please post the date of your trip.
That can make a major difference in the answers.

not only the date, but what are you hoping to do in each park. With that info we can help you with your itinerary.

I think you can do 3 parks if you use EMH and have a specific plan on what you want to do. I'm planning on trying 3 parks next Saturday, but AK instead of HS. Using Sunday for an all day Star Wars Weekend day. We'll see if I can do it! Animal Kingdom at RD for Safari and Everest, then head to Epcot for test track and World Showcase for Flower and Garden booths, then around 6:30 head to MK for the night with EMH til 2:00 AM. Gonna be tired, but gonna be so worth it! Can't wait!

I have done all 4 parks in one day before. We got a few rides at each park. I think driving is easier if you are hopping. We started at AK for Everest and the Safari, them to MK for a few rides and lunch. This was in the old FP system, so we were able to get some at each park pretty close to the time we pulled them. Then headed to HS and got a show and several rides in. Last we hit Epcot, mostly just relaxed and enjoyed out last bit of time in the parks, took one or two there, watched the fireworks and went back to the resort.

It is more than doable, it all depends on how many attractions you want to hit and how tired you don't mind being at the end of the day.

I have also done 4 parks in one day. I used WDW buses; I started with EMH morning park and ended with Epcot.

We have done 4 parks in one day before.
We were staying at YC.
We did AK 1st thing - rode Everest and Safari
We headed back to YC and walked over to DHS, rode Tower of Terror and Star Tours
We took the boat to Epcot and rode Test Track
We took the monorail back over to MK and rode Space Mountain, BTMRR and Haunted Mansion

This was during an end of April trip and we did this all during a time period of 8 am - 3:30 pm (when we were back on the bus to YC to catch Magical Express).
It was pretty awesome!!!

Maybe something like this?
  • RD DHS.
  • Standby: TSMM, RNRC, ToT, Star Tours
  • Walk / Ferry to EP, enter via the IG.
  • Walk to the right (the long way) around the lagoon and hit a few countries.
  • FP+: Soarin' or TT and two others, SB whatever else you want
  • If you wanted to do all 4 parks:
    • Transfer to AK about 2 hours before it closes
    • Ride DINOSAUR, Primeval Whirl, Everest (a few times) in the last 90 min.
    • Ride until the park closes
    • Take the Ft. Wilderness / Contemporary bus
    • Walk to MK
  • Otherwise:
    • Monorail to TTC and then MK
  • Once at MK, see if there are any FP+ available or just ride SB until close

I did this exact thing on February 17th this year. Here's what we did:
Rope drop at HS
Rode RNR with 5 min. wait.
FP ToT immediately after (our FP was for 9:10).
Rode Star Wars.
Walked around some until our TSMM FP at 10:15.

We then took the walking path from HS to Epcot and arrived at the World Showcase entrance right at opening time (11).
Walked around World Showcase, had lunch, etc. We could have gotten another FP, as we had deleted our 3rd that was schedule at HS before we left because we knew we wouldn't use it, but we decided we would rather spend our time in WS instead of riding anything at Epcot. We spent almost 3 hours in WS, though, so you could definitely spend that time riding some rides instead.
At about 1:45 we walked to the monorail and took it to MK.

After getting off the monorail we went in to City Hall and got a FP for HM at 3:45.
We then took the train to Fronteirland and found a spot for the parade at 3.
The rest of the night we spent at MK getting FP for everything we wanted to ride and doing walk-on for things with short waits. We had dinner at BOG at 5:45 and left the park right after Wishes. These are the rides we were able to get in at MK:
HM (FP)
Splash Mountain (walk on x3)
BTMRR (15 min. wait)
IASW (walk on)
Philharmagic
Buzz (FP)
Pirates (FP)

It was a long but AWESOME day.

Go for it!

MK: 7DMC, Splash, Space - take monorail to Epcot
Epcot: Soarin', Test Track; take bus to HS
HS: Rock n' Rollercoaster

We will be there on Thursday May 28, 2015.

MK offers AM EMH starting at 8AM that day.
If you are staying at a WDW resort, I recommend that you start there (arrive at 7:30ish.)

If you are NOT staying at a WDW resort, I recommend that you DON'T go to MK until you've gone to any of the other parks you choose that day and you can stay until 12 Midnight.

It is unfortunate that EMHs are for MK that morning, because Ideally you'd like to finish there since they are open 3 hours later than Epcot. If it was me, I would start at DHS and finish at MK. But if you don't think you can stay up until midnight, then I'd go with MK first.

then I'd go with MK first.

But, ONLY if the OP is staying at a WDW resort and can get to the park before the EMH opening time.
Going into an AM EMH park at 9AM... on the morning of an AM EMH is not a good plan.

We have done this however we were at the contemporary and used EMH. Both helped a lot time wise. For off-site I'm not so sure about three parks.

It can be very simple and relaxing to park hop to all 4 parks in one day as long as you are not concerned about what you get done at each park. You gave us a date and you are within 30 days so as long as you already have tickets, you can pick FP+, but that does not really help with what you should do.

Has everyone been to these parks before? Last visit?
Are these all adults or are kids included?
Does everyone like thrill rides?
Are there any favorites of those going that must be done?
Characters or no characters?
Shows or no shows?

My recommendations change based on the above.

I've done all 4 parks in 1 day at least a couple of times. Given your date I would

Start at DHS RD

TSMM
TOT
RnR
GMR
Star Tours

Head to Epcot
Soarin' (FP)
Test Track (SRL)
Spaceship Earth (FP)
Nemo or Figment (FP)

head to MK
Start with the high capacity rides and work to the headliners and the evening wears on.
Ride PP and 7DMT shortly before Midnight

We do this all the time and will over our girls only Memorial Day trip. We start at DHS. Get there half an hour before rope drop, and hit TSMM, RNRC and ToT. We're done there. The shows and stuff just don't interest us that much and the food is terrible, then we might head to MK or Epcot depending - we usually just walk over to Epcot, and have a few drinks and grab our favorite eat around the world quick service bites single rider TT, do a few of the small rides and have our FPs for late at MK and spend the afternoon at the pool. We do the up early and hotel late thing and nap when it gets hot. I'm sure you'll have a great day. I can't tell you how many rides we get to enjoy early and late. Also, the size of your party makes a huge difference. Small parties are just so much faster and easier to deal with.

Have a great day!

I would do rope drop at MK, since you can ride so much because attractions are close together, leave around lunchtime, then I would hit Epcot, since most people hit Spaceship Earth early. I would wait for Soarin, do single rider for Test Track, maybe Mission to Mars (whatever the real name.) I would finish up Future World with Figment, go through Canada and England, then take the International Gateway and do DHS with Fastpasses at Toy Story, ToT and Sing a long, Single rider line at RRC then boat back to Epcot, do the other side of World Showcase!

It I wasn't fried, or my hotel was near, I'd go back to MK for fireworks and a ride or two.
