This year we are planning on just going to Disney having done Universal every time for 5 years. We are now thinking of spending a single day at Universal and IOA. Can we buy a ticket for the single day?:confused3

Yup! I just did for my most recent trip (we were staying at Disney). We got a 1 day, 1 park ticket. It was around 90 dollars from UT. I may get a 1 day, 2 park ticket next time but I'm not sure. Maybe you can help me with this? Is their "park hopper" like Disney? I read something about a hand stamp but can you just scan your ticket again?

the darkside does not have a hand stamp.
if you have a one day two park ticket, the TM will scan the ticket.
either park, that is the procedure.

when the ticket is scanned, the TM will see that it is a valid 2 park ticket.

you can always upgrade to a two park ticket while you are in the park if you decide to hop to the other park.

yea, tickets are scanned when you park hop just like it is at the motherland parks.

Good to know thanks so much! I read hand stamp and was :confused3 since they scanned my ticket and took my finger print to get in, I didn't get why they'd have to stamp my hand. Glad to know that was just a mistake. My trip is over a year away so I have time to figure out if I will actually do Universal or not. Only really did HP this time and would like to explore the rest of the park a bit and maybe studios.

hand stamps have been done away with for well over a year or more.

the only time i get a hand stamp if i am at HHN and leave the park.
for that special ticket event, it is required + showing the hhn ticket.
