One day ticket

Hi, we just spent 9 days at GF a couple of weeks ago, with both kids. Now, we are going back with just DH, and DD, as DD is going to perform at MK. My questions to you all is this.....we are going to go to MK the one day, no other parks (Universal and rest will fill the other 4 days), and I understand the only way to get the one day ticket is at the park. That is fine with us, but will we be able to leave the area, and come back, if it's the same day? DD will have her costume in the car, which I will have to get sometime before her performance, not wanting to shove it into a locker. I also thought it might be nice to come back later in the evening to see the fireworks, which we only saw from GF last time. Will we be able to get in/out with out a hopper pass? Don't want to go to other parks, or use more than one day. Thanks!

Yes, you can leave the park and come back at a later time that day. Make sure you get your hand stamped on the way out, and keep your ticket (which you would need for FP anyway).

However, you cannot go to a different park that day. If you went to MK, you cannot leave and go to Epcot that night.
