Hi, I'm looking at maybe buying a one-day ticket to Epcot for a trip down there next month (longer version of the story is in the budget board). Interesting to note that MK is $8 more for a one-day pass than any of the other parks. If I buy from WDW online, but am not staying there, will I get a magic band mailed to me, and can I make FP+ reservations? I want to book a tour but if I'm going to be there, might as well be able to try to do FP+ too. Have never gone without staying there, so don't know how it works just buying tickets. Thanks.

1-day MK tickets have been more than 1-day tickets to the other parks for about 2 years now. It has a lot to do with it being the most likely park to be visited by people going to Disney for just one day.

You will not get a Magic Band mailed to you just for buying a ticket. You would need to purchase one from Disney for about $12. However, your physical ticket will be RFID-enabled and it can be read by the FP+ scanners.

Being an offsite guest, you will be able to make your FP+ reservations 30 days or less prior to the day of your visit. You will have to have a ticket attached to your MDE account in order to be able to book FP+.

Thanks for the info. I don't need a magic band, I just didn't know. As long as the ticket has FP capabilities, I'm fine.
