One day pass with hopping

Is it possible to buy a one day pass at the gate and then upgrade that to hop.. Have visited before and only have a day spare on a trip next week and just want to hit rides

Yes, you can buy a one day, one park pass and then upgrade later on in the same day. I think the cost is only around 10.00 to do that.

if the ticket is sold without any discounts, you should only have to pay about $10 for the upgrade.

please correct me if i am wrong.



if you buy a discounted one day ticket, the upgrade would be more than $10.
in the past, the upgrade fee was based on the amount of the original ticket was first purchased as.

I think that the upgrade fee for park hopper option is a flat fee though, of more than $10. Also, I have read that even if you buy a discounted ticket, disney will only charge the upgrade from the gate price of your ticket, absorbing the cost from your discounted price to current gate price. I believe I read that from Chesire Figment who seems to be a reliable source as far as ticket info goes, but I am not positive. Hopefully someone with a firmer idea of upgrade costs can post here and clear things up for the OP!

wait, you are talking about disney tickets. i just reread your post.
what i was referring to was universal ticket cost for upgrades.

Oh! My bad too! I ghad been reading on the Disney part of the boards for so long that I just read the post assuming Disney even though I was DUH reading the universal boards ! you are correct on the disney upgrades though. i do both parks.
