Taking my sister on a cruise and want to go to wdw for one day before flying home the next day. Trying to decide if we should just spend the day relaxing at MK or try and add one more park to the day. We’ll be going on a Friday towards the end of October. Not sure of the crowds that time of yr and day. Haven’t decided which park yet if we do two. MK for sure. Want to get in the main attractions.
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thank you!

IMO, a quick park visit (one day) following a cruise defeats the ease of the cruise experience.

That said, IF I were to think about staying one day extra for a visit, I'd limit to just one park, maybe only do 3-4 attractions and have a nice meal.

Halloween is a very popular time for the parks -- lots of fun decor. and an after-hours party that requires a separate admission. This year Halloween is on a Friday. I'd choose a different day to visit WDW, if at all possible.

Here's the details from last year's party (the details on 2025 haven't been released yet.) https://www.disneytouristblog.com/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-2024-dates-details/

Fridays in October are likely to have a Halloween party at MK, so that park will close early. If you do MK that day I would hop to Epcot or HS that evening.

Or just get a party ticket and relax during the day before the party.

ETA: October is also Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. A Friday night might be very busy at those stalls.

Thank you for your replies. We can’t change the date we’re going to wdw… it will be the 24th. We just have to leave early.
Have to figure out if we want to do another park after MK.
