One day/one park????

Hi everyone.. I was wondering what everyone here thinks.. We are going to be only visiting Disney one day. So if you were to have a choice between MK or MGM, which park would you choose and why?? Which one would my 6 year old daughter(never been to disney) get more out of? More characters at one or the other?
Thanks everyone for any input you give me, this will help us choose.

Magic Kingdom all the way!!!! She will love it, the castle, the characters and the rides.

MK hands down. A six year old who has never been to Disney has to see the castle...way more attractions for young children at MK...More opportunities for character interaction at MK. Have a wonderful time!
