One Day MK ticket - can it be used elsewhere?

One of our party for an upcoming trip may not be coming along and we have a pre-purchased one day MK ticket. Can that be transferred or otherwise used at one of the other gates? I know we can assign it to a different person, but it would be advantageous if we could instead use it, say, at Epcot. Not worried about the extra we paid for it being an MK ticket.

How long will you be there? How many days are on your other tickets? Would this different person be using the ticket in addition to one they already have, or would this be their only ticket.

Generally speaking, it would be much better financially to upgrade an existing ticket than use a one-day ticket for an extra day.
