One Day IoA Help!!

My best friend and I (ages 22 and 21) have planned a trip to WDW and will be spending just one day in Universal's IoA (mainly for Harry Potter!) I haven't been to Universal since I was like 8, so needless to say, I have no clue what to expect or how to plan! We can only spend the one day there, so we have to make the most of it. What do you suggest we make our plan? We'd love to know what we MUST do, and need plans for food, as well! Thanks!

Since you only have the day, I would suggest getting to the gates at least 30-45 minutes prior to opening so you can jump over to HP first thing. Then...just wander a bit...I'm sure you remember the layout (a big circle surrounding a lake) so take everything in. You might want to consider using the single rider lines when you can. For dining, I would suggest eating during off peak times to keep the lines at their shortest.
