One day Hopper Pass?

Hello fellow Budgeteers!!

I know someone here on this board can help me with these questions...

I am going to a conference at the Grosvenor Resort in October. I really wanted to spend a day at the parks and I don't have any days remaining from my last trip.

1st question- Where would be the cheapest place to buy a legitimate one-day ticket?

2nd question- Do they sell one day hopper passes so that I could enjoy more than 1 park during my only day there?

If you're in Orlando for a meeting or convention, you can usually purchase special "after 2pm" passes and 1-day or 2-day hoppers from the Orange County Convention Bureau. The tickets are meant specifically for conventioneers and meeting-goers. You can be asked to show ID that proves this when you use the tickets. My family used them a few years ago when the kids had a karate tournament in Orlando.

Right now, the website is down to update the ticket prices from the most recent increase.

At this time the one day basic pass costs $76. and the one day pass with hopping costs $124. at Disney's ticket booths.

As long as the conference is on Disney property the sponsor should be able to provide a link to a special site Disney has for convention tickets. These include the "after 2:00", the "after 4:00" and the special discounted MYW tickets which not only are discounted about 10% but also include a one-night PI multi-club at no extra cost. These can be ordered in advance. If they do not have a link, they should be able to get you the special price tickets at the conference itself.

Yes- they told us we could get specially priced tickets for after 2 or 4 but I was wondering about all day passes- especially hoppers. $100+ is kind of high for 1 day when we have to attend meetings in between.

Oh well, if anyone else has any ideas- please let me know!!
