We are going to the PBH for a week in July and would like to do one day at Disney because I have two park hopper tickets left from a previous vacation. I still need three children's passes, though. Is there anything cheaper than a$113 hopper pass per child? Even the pass without the hopper is $63 per kid.

I am not aware of any discounts or deals on 1 day tickets for Disney - unless you have non-expiring tickets. I guess Disney wants you to come for at least 4 days before you start to get a significant discount on the average cost per ticket a day.

That's my thought, too. It kind of makes my two non-expiring tickets worthless until the kids are grown and it's just the wife and me.

I think that you won't find anything better than gate pricing for one-day tickets - unless you go to a timeshare presentation where Disney tickets are offered and, even then, those mostly likely wouldn't be park hoppers.

Even the authorized discount vendors like Maple Leaf Tickets and Under Cover Tourist, if they offer 1-day tickets at all, usually (maybe always) have to charge MORE than the gate price due to agreement with Disney.

OK. My niece, who is a Florida resident, said she could get me a one-day, one-park Florida resident Disney ticket for $53. She told me she did not have to be there with me to show her Florida ID. Is she wrong? Doesn't she have to be with me to redeem it?

Yes, I think that she has to be there. When we've bought florida resident tickets in the past, we've had to give our florida drivers license to be scanned. This was done at the gate...not sure what happens if she buys it online and gives it to you???

She told me she had to give them her ID to get them but not to redeem them?

She would have to show her ID to pick up the tickets. If she buys them online, she will most likely get a voucher that would have to be exchanged at the gate...that's where the ID comes in. If you don't have it, you won't be able to get the FL resident ticket. I don't think it matters who uses it...you just have to show the ID to purchase the ticket. Otherwise...anyone could be a FL resident and get the discount.

Is she by any chance a student at UCF? My daughter's good friend goes there and got a ticket for that price and I don't think she had to show ID at the gate but am not sure. I do know it did not have a name on it. (Unfortunately, that was only in March but I don't remember!) But you cannot add the park hopper to it--we tried--because of how it is sold. (That's the short version.) :)

Yep. That's where she just graduated from. She also told me I couldn't get a hopper pass. Sounds like the same deal.

Yeah, that has to be a special deal because 1-day Disney tickets are not $53. But a 1-day park hopper is $100+..
