One day car rental ?

We are thinking of renting a car for 1 day so we can go to the outlet and eat at Bahama Breeze. We usually have our car but it is just the 2 of us this time. Should we reserve the car ahead of time or can we just go to the desk at the Dolphin and rent one? We have APs and are DVC members. Are there any discounts and which rental company should we go with?

Mousesavers has good codes. Also, look at the different sizes of cars. The larger one may actually be cheaper.

These are the only rental companies on WDW property - available at the Car Care Center and the Dolphin. One day rentals don't have any discounts that I'm aware of, although I've rented for a weekend from the Dolphin and was able to use an Ent. coupon for a discount. If you decide one day you want to rent, just call the desk at the Dolphin - they should have cars right on their lot!!!

I do believe there are other rental companies at some of the DTD hotels!!!

try alamo or national. You can reserve online using the code in your AP passport. I did get a one day discount and I picked mine up at the Dolphin

I would highly reccomend making an advance reservation. As was stated, it's tough to get deals on a 1 day rental, but they'll give you an even higher rate at the counter.
