We're staying at ASMusic. We usually rent a car for the week but this time we've decided to use DME. We would like to go to Sweet Tomatoes to eat at least once though, and go to the outlet. We're wondering if renting a car for one day would be the best way to go. I know we could rent from Alamo and pick up at the Car Care Center. Has anyone else had any experience of going offsite for a meal and shopping, and how did you do it? TIA.

You might wanna check it out closer because often if you get a deal it will work out to LESS than one day. For example: we are going early December for a long weekend. If I took the car for 2 days it was close to $150 (75 per day) Saying yes to the entire time (4 days instead of 2) it came up with $64.00 (16 per day)
Good deal since we haffa go off site for a wedding & this also gives us the chance to get some milk & snacks :cool1:

You just need to poke around and find some good rates (mousesavers.com helps) :car:

Thank you so much for that information! I will definitely check it out. That would be a great deal!

I rent one day from Budget at the Doubletree. They'll pick you up if you call a day ahead; or take the bus to DTD and walk up HPB to the Doubletree. Usually about $25 - $30 for 1 day.

We've used Alamo's location at the Dolphin in the past. When you price it out try adding one additional day to see if the price changes. Last month when I was playing around with pricing it was the same price for 1 day vs. 3.
Have a great trip :cool1:
