Hey all,

We are staying for one day at the VWL before our cruise. As far as parks go we think we will wonder around MK a little. Maybe pop over there for a cinnamon roll the morning of the cruise before the ME.

But

What are the MUST see/do's at the resort? I have seen incredable pictures of the water features and the "train room" at the villas but what should I be sure to see?

TIA

We like to hang out in the WL lobby and use the boat to get back and forth to MK. You can also take a boat to FW and wander around.

With the limited amount of time you have, don't know if you'd be interested in our favorite at VWL, since it will take an hour off your day. We love to rent a pontoon at the marina and just cruise around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon for an hour ...........it's really relaxing after the hustle and bustle of a few days at WDW. Don't forget........you get a DVC discount for the rental also. We usually do this midway during our stay for a bit of relaxation.........

An early morning swim in the villa pool is so peaceful and special to me! Walking around the grounds at that time is just awesome. There's a little creek in back of the bar that usually has some ducks preforming morning antics in the stream.

At night I like to walk in the courtyard area up to the observation area, and look down at the bustle of the pool area. It seems like you're just lifted above the noise, but able to experience the beauty at the same time.

In the lodge itself there are many nooks and crannies, take time to observe the details. When I visited Yellowstone last year, I did the same thing, and it's wonderful how the details in both places are different but they both have delightful surprises in the designs.

Agreed. Boating is great at disney and you will be on the second waterway to boat (OKW - DTD is the best).

You should walk to FW it is a very nice stroll.

One of our favourite things is the Hidden Mickey hunt. You can get a copy of the hunt from the front desk. Our kids (14 and 15 on our last visit) really enjoyed this and so did we. It was a fun thing to do and we got to see a lot of the main lodge :thumbsup2
