One day at Aulani

We are considering booking a cruise to Hawaii. Has anybody ever booked a room at Aulani for one night and then checkout later the same day? (they don't offer day passes). We are in port from 7 am-11pm.

First time did a 24 hour stay (overnight). Our room was actually available when we checked in at 9am (not a guarantee).
The resort is available to all guests on their check in day as well as the check out day.
Reserve a room and go as early as possible. Check out renting points through a DVC member as well. When you stay on points, parking is free, otherwise it was $35.00 per day last time we were there.
(Just in case you are renting car to get there)
