We are going to Universal for one day a week from Saturday. Any tips on which park would have the longer lines? Is it better to go to Universal or Islands first? We've been to both...2 years since Island and probably 5 years since Studios. I just want to make the most of our one day. Thanks for any tips!

If you stay at a Universal hotel, you can go to a special line that is much, much faster. You can also stay offsite and pay extra to get this ability. It is like having a "fast pass" on EVERY ride. I would highly recommend staying at Universal for that reason alone.

Assuming you're going for just the one day and won't be staying onsite, make sure you get to the gates at opening and you should be able to do several rides before the crowds show up. When are you going? If it's in the fall, you should be good with crowds until 11am or so. You might want to consider staying onsite for the one night and you would get Express access for two days...but again it depends upon when you're going.

I think the Studios would have longer lines right now because of The Simpsons so you'd have to decide which park you want to hit first.

If you're a big coaster fan I would start with IOA. If not then go to Universal because I'm sure the simpsons ride is going to have a long line and MIB always seems to have a long line. If none of these factors in then start with the park that closes earlier, so you'll have more of a chance to do everything.

It doesn't seem as busy in the morning and then you can enjoy the water rides in the heat of the day!
