I just got on the Universal website and found a one day two park pass! I've been on the site before and it wasn't there. It isn't mentioned on the Unofficial Univ. site or in any guide book. Is this brand new? It was $69.95 adult (10+), $59.95 child (3-9). I read it several times to make sure I wasn't seeing things or reading into it. Anyway, I am thrilled. It's just what I needed for our upcoming trip. Anyone know of any catches?

Why not just get a 2 day or 3 day pass for slightly more and save the extra day(s). My grandson is still using his 3 day pass we bought 2 years ago. He used one day, then last year it rained our entire 10 day trip, so we skipped US/IOA and this year he still has his 2 days left on his ticket. These don't expire. I think we paid $89 for his 3 day ticket (2 park) 2 years ago. Seems like that would be a real savings especially is you ever plan to go back in the future. But at least the 1 day ticket is new to me too.

but the chances of us being able to go back are slim and none. I get the same "why don't you just buy..." on the WDW side, but we are a family of 6 on a single income. Our extended family is in PA (we're in TX) so vacation is always to PA. This is our year for a "real" vacation. I'm not complaining, just explaining why we make strange decisions. ;) Anyway we know it will be a challenge, but we're prepared to do US and IOA in one day by choosing carefully which attractions we do (only one of my children is a thrill rider anyway...). We'll have fun no matter what--just glad to be there!:D Thanks ya'll for your help.
