Has anyone been watching this new program? (It's on again tonight..)
It's a reality type show - family of four.. Mom, Dad, 17 yr. old DD, and 13 yr. old DS.. They all range in weight somewhere between 300 and 400 lbs.. Due to a serious discussion with the pediatrician regarding the DS's weight and possible health issues, they are on a quest to lose weight through exercise and making better food choices.. (No gastric bypass surgeries or anything of that nature..)
It's been quite interesting so far - and I give them all the credit in the world for trying to make these very difficult changes.. However - since it is a "reality" show, I'm torn between feeling as though this family is being exploited (for entertainment purposes) or if it's truly meant to be "inspirational" for others facing the same issues..
What do you all think? I guess I've become somewhat jaded in regards to many of these reality shows due to the Gosselin disaster; the scripted "Bachelor/Bachelorette" shows; etc..
Good idea or not? Just curious as to what others think..
