After hearing how great the ocean view inn rooms are at Vero Beach we decided to reserve one for four nights, for our September trip. However, we are travelling with 2 kids ages 5 and 7 and having 7 nights in a one bedroom at WLV first. I am now wondering if we would be more comfortable in a one bedroom at VB and whether an inn room might be a bit of a let down after being in a one bedroom at WLV.

What do you all think? Are the ocean views worth it or would we be better off with a one bed? Are the one beds nice and comparable to those in WDW DVC resorts? Do u still get the big hot tub in the bathroom? Thanks.

I've stayed in both at Vero. The inn rooms are two bedded hotel type rooms with microwave, coffee pot, and small fridge. The one bedrooms are very similar to WLV in layout, different theming. I personally would never go back to an inn room after staying in a one bedroom( I love that extra space!) The full kitchen is wonderful and the separate bedroom when traveling with little ones is a blessing. To say nothing about the extra space in the living room for the kids to run around! I've had wonderful views in the one bedrooms with no special requests( just lucked out). If you decide to change ask for a higher floor for better views. Don't get me wrong the inn rooms are nice, but I'm spoiled!!

Agree with lsyorke.IMHO the Inn rooms are fine but the 1 BDR are wonderful. You can get nice views as well.We always just ask for an upper floor. Have a great time. Enjoy your stay.:)

Ditto to the previous two posters. We had a lovely view from a 1-bedroom last May, just request a room on the top floor. I think you will really appreciate the extra space with two little ones.

For our only stay at VB, I reserved "late" & could only get an Inn room. The room was fine, had a wonderful view from our balcony. My family hated it. DSs (14 & 7) are spoiled by DVC & now only want a 2 BD, even if it mean less nts. at WDW. They hate sharing a bed (& complain loudly!). Every time I mention a trip to VB, tied to a trip to WDW, they groan. I think VB got off to a bad start w/ DSs, because we didn't stay in a 1 or 2 BD.

okay I am going opposite - my first stay was in a 2-bedroom villa at Vb next time I will get 2 inn rooms instead. the inn and the studios at VB (unlike WDW) have VCR's in them. (I really, really wish that DVC at WDW would get these in the studios too)

Thanks everyone. Have taken your advice and managed to call tonight and switch from an inn room to a one bedroom.

IMHO you won't regret having the extra space for your family.Have a great time.:)

There are only three of us so I was going to just get a studio, but I now hear that the inn rooms are nicer? yes or no? thanks ann

We are also a family of three, me,DH and DS 14 years old. The DH snores(which makes the DS crazy), and the DS stays up too late for me, so the one bedroom is a must.! But even with all that, I still love the one bedroom for the space and full kitchen.

Once you stay in a VB 1BR, you never go back to the smaller rooms. Remember, the VB 1Br is much larger than the ones at BWV or VWL
