One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

The doctor started me on an antibiotic, steroids, cough medicine and an inhaler. I am on my way to bed and will stay there as long as I can, I will NOT be doing anything out of the house tomorrow. The doctor told me to decrease my stress and get more rest/sleep. I told her sure, how should I do that? :lmao: I am definitely wiling to do it just give me the prescription. :thumbsup2 I DO feel my blessings, there are so many who are hurting, this is a hard time of year for many. :grouphug:

Gail (I really need to talk to you, I hope everyone recovered from the long journey Wednesday!) , Belle (Thanks for always thinking of us), Lisa (THANK YOU for the donation to GKTW, I know they are thrilled and it will be put to great use!!), Tracy (When do you leave for your sisters? I cant WAIT to see you!), Erin (Lisa has had an exacerbation of a neurological issue as well as a sinus infection and a drug reaction), Emma (Thanks for joining in and catching up, I didnt send out PMs when we started the PTR, last time someone dear to me got angry because I emailed them instead of PMing, this time I did neither)....Ladies, Thank you all for signing in and sending some support my way, it is so appreciated!

Good Night. :goodvibes

Judy, Hope you are sleeping right now and getting the rest your body needs to get better. Take this weekend off and let Pete and the family take care of you!

I'll be home all day. Weather says rain and snow for us today. Great day to stay inside and do some baking. Since you'll be home today, I'll give you a call later in the day. Take care of yourself and hope the antibiotic kicks in to knock out your fever.

Oh Judy, thank goodness they gave you some prescriptions that will knock this out and get you better. I pray you and Lisa both feel better so you can enjoy Christmas! We are having turkey and ham as my grandkids all love turkey, but no legs. I just buy 2 breasts because that is what they love. I can fit 2 breasts in one pan and ham in the other. It's hard to fit a big turkey and a ham in my oven, and then fit in the cheesy potatoes too. My sister does a big turkey and ham for Christmas Eve too, but she cooks the turkey ahead of time. It seems like all the little kids seem to prefer turkey. We had a scary night with my daughter having to go to the hospital at 5 in the morning. She had a kidney stone. She is doing well now, but I hate getting calls in the middle of the night. Merry Christmas and I hope Lisa gets her turkey leg.

Judy - sounds like you need more sleep.............when you figure out how to do it let me know so I can use your techniques! 4 hours a night is not enough, and my body tries to tell me that but it doesn't listen! Hope you feel better quickly:yay:

Tracy I will keep praying for your nephew to make it home for Christmas, I know that would be a great gift for your family.

Judy, glad to hear that Lisa is having a couple better days. I hope that you get well soon too, so that the family can have a nice relaxing Christmas.

I have been having a rough month. I went almost all year with out having to go to the doctor and have had to go 3 times already this month one time each week. First I twisted my ankle and could barely walk. The week after that I had a UTI and had to go get some antibiotics, and then I had to go back yesterday because I broke out in a really bad rash, turns out I am highly allergic to the antibiotic that they gave me. On the plus side my dad is doing really good and hasn't had to go back to the hospital.

I don't know if I will make it back before Christmas so that I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Marilyn

Oh Judy I'm so sorry to hear you are so very sick. Love and hugs to you sweetie! I hope the meds kick in very soon.

Just in case you feel like reading here is a bit about what's going on around here. It might make you chuckle a bit:) Sierra has began pep band. This morning we went to a pancake breakfast fundraiser for the band. There is a band mom, who is very pushy that made herself at home at our table with our family. I was ready to leave shortly after she sat down! lol Ok so I would love for someone to scream at me (through the computer I guess) the next time I decide to take my mil on a trip to Florida with us! She has driven me bonkers! It looks like my sister and bil are pulling out of our trip and likely my parents too. Mom just hasn't been feeling very well. But we will see when it gets closer. Tomorrow is the Girl Scout Christmas Dinner and we are supposed to bring a covered dish. I had planned on bringing Green Bean Cassarole and found out my hubby had eaten the Fried Onions for it! Figures! lol Ok so that is what we have been up to this weekend. I hope you get some rest! Hugs!

Continuing to pray for healing for you all, Judy! I hope you can get that needed rest. You are such a champion for your family.

Praying Emile gets to go home soon!!!!

I love sleep, I wish I got more of it, I don't know why kids make such an issue out of it. But wearing them out is the best way to do it!!

I love my sleep too. Why don't the kids understand that sleeping is actually a good thing? I just do what I can and deal with it. Some days are harder than others. We're still trying to figure out what to do on Christmas Eve since DH is off work.

Well today went better than I thought it would. The only thing that upset me was my sister in law told me they could be here between 11 - 11:30 am. They didn't show up until almost 12:30!!! Then she brings a pie that we still had to cook. It's like WTH! I set this up to make it easy for you and then she proceeded to make it even more difficult for me. Oh well the kids all had a great time and my mother in law and step father in law loved getting to see all 5 of the grand kids together. Now I'm just glad it's over and can just relax the rest of the Christmas Season!! The next places we go I don't have to do anything so that will be nice!!

Judy, just popped over to see how you're doing over here. Sorry to hear that you are quite under the weather. I hope your meds kick in and that you are able to distress a little anyway -- so hard to do, especially with all that you have going on.

going to read back now to catch up on everything. Rest well and get healthy my friend!

Such good news about Emile. I know it will be wonderful having him home for Christmas.

Praying for you Judy. I hope the meds kick in soon and you are feeling better. Continued prayers for Lisa.

Good Night. :goodvibes

Judy, hope you are resting and getting better!!
You need to be better to travel.

I am leaving tomorrow afternoon.
I've been super busy last couple of days. Yesterday me and my mom did a marathon bake day. All our in town friends get baking for Christmas and we were so late starting so we did almost all of it yesterday. I dropped a few off last night and will drop the rest off tonight. It's fun doing the merry Christmas rounds to see everyone one last time.
I am completely serious when I say I haven't done any Christmas shopping, I haven't. I got it into my mind to do shirts for the nieces so I did that this morning.

It is seeming less likely that Emile will come home for Christmas, he now has thrush :( poor little guy.

Sorry that your SIL didn't make things easier for you, but glad you relax for the rest of the season.

I am trying to temper my expectations about Emile coming home for Christmas, as amazing as it would be things shouldn't be rushed so if he isn't ready, he isn't ready. I will still get to visit him and he should be home before I leave on Jan 11th!

Sorry that your SIL didn't make things easier for you, but glad you relax for the rest of the season.

I do love and appreciate my in-laws but this group that was over on Saturday can be quite selfish. DH asked me why I was working so hard in cleaning and trying to make everything look nice when they aren't going to appreciate it. I told him it makes me feel better. I did enjoy my relaxing afternoon. Today we had to get up early to bring Sarah and Jeremy to a birthday party and they had a great time as always. It was nice to come home, eat lunch (they had pizza and I've been doing so good keeping my carb intake low so I ate when we got home), then I put the kids down for a nap and took one myself. It was a nice relaxing day even the birthday party since I was able to sit down and catch up with my daughter's teacher (well the teacher that is supposed to be there but she is out on medical leave right now :sad2:). Sarah is really good friends with her daughter and Jeremy is really good friends with her son.

Sorry to hear about Emile not making it home for Christmas. But it isn't good to rush things if he isn't ready. Continued prayers for him to get better and continue thriving. :flower3:

Sending some healing prayers your way Judy. I hope you are finally getting some rest and that Lisa is continuing to improve. :goodvibes
Tracy, Praying for safe travels for you and for Emile to continue to get stronger so he can come home when the time is right. :thumbsup2

I know I am a bit early - but I wanted to stop by to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday - I hope all of your are on the mend soon...

Merry Christmas Eve!!!!!! I hope you all have a marvelous and blessed Christmas with lots of love and smiles!

I am still trying to recuperate, hoping a forced day and a half of no appointments will help (Just got home from our last one until Thursday). I wanted to spread a little Christmas cheer to you via three video performances from Lisa, Rachel and Christian. Lisa wasn’t feeling her best and Christian really didn’t want to perform (he stopped after high school) however, some manipulation from Mom got them both on the stage...yes, I was sneaky and it worked. I told Lisa to tell Christian if he performed, so would she. Lisa had practiced so hard to do several shows during December (One was to be at the Victory Junction gala, which we both had to miss) and she was sad she would have to wait an entire year to do this song again. Her little puppy dog eyes got Christian on stage and made her smile. The rest of the night both before and after the performances she was lying on me. She was glad she did it though she has enjoyed the videos. I hope you do as well. :goodvibes
