One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

I am happy everything went well today.

You are funny Judy. From what I have seen you don't have any wrinkles. :goodvibes

Lisa asked for a hula hoop for Christmas. I had a gift card, so I sent Pete to the store over the weekend to pick it up. I just returned home to find her playing with it in the garage...my DH had left it by the door covered by a baby blanket, that was too small to cover it (I had been told it was hidden away :rotfl2:)...she still believes in Santa, as far as we know, so whatcha going to do? :confused3 :lmao: I believe I will enjoy the look of pure happiness on her face at an unexpected present!

LOL, hurray for an early Christmas present.

It was a lovely Memorial service for my uncle, I only wish the church was closer to my house. The minister was wonderful and I would love to hear him preach a full sermon. Everyone looked so much older, except for me. I just looked fatter. :rotfl: There is something to be said for extra weight, you have fewer wrinkles. :lmao::lmao: I hadn't seen most of my cousins in years, it really is sad we only seem to get together at funerals. It was a very small affair, but touching. My uncle had been quite ill and in a lot of pain, I am thankful he is now at peace. :flower3:

I'm so sorry to hear about your uncles passing.

Glad the memorial was wonderful.

Maybe sometime you can drive there to hear a full sermon.

Hopefully the family can get together again under better circumstances.

Every time I caught a glimpse of the story, I thought of you! I saw his smile, but I saw his PARENTS faces just as much. I know what it meant to them!

I saw his parent's on the news the night before and you could just tell they were overjoyed with everything that was going to happen for their super hero. I'm sure you do know!! You've unfortunately been in their place. :grouphug:

]
SO much could be done if we just played...and WON the lottery!

SOMEDAY!

Oh yes so much could be done!! Now to start playing. :rotfl2:

]
YOu always have it!

Love you for it and everything else too!! :flower3: :hug: As you know you always have mine too.

]
OH NO WAY James can't have it, that set is MADE to be played with! If I had one, I would play with it!

:rotfl2: Ok I'll let him have it!!! I want to play with it!! Now to get DH to get the rest of the Christmas stuff out of the attic so I can start putting it up. I want to take my time since I get so tired so quickly.

]
Poor DH??? SNORT, poor me, now I have to come up with and pay for another gift. Did I mention we had gotten two sizes (she loves to do tricks with them) and I THOUGHT she only saw one, because there was only one out there when I found her? Seems PETE already KNEW she had found BOTH of them, he "hoped" she hadn't seen the other one and and so he FINALLY hid it away. A little probing and she told me there had been two, but one disappeared...so now she will have one to share with Rachel, as soon as Pete digs it our from where he hid it...poor DH indeed!

Ok ok!! Sorry!! Nope didn't know about the two different sizes. Had to laugh that she called you guys out on knowing there were two of them!!! I used to love hula hoops now not so much!! Can't get them to spin right:rotfl: think I'm a little too round for that right now.

]
But Princess Lisa is having a ball, so how could I deny her? Life is very short.

Yep can't deny that sweet daughter of yours. Life is too short to stress over the little things.

]
With good reason AND you are hormonal!

So true!!

]
ME TOO!!! It seems that since I finally went to the MD I am falling apart!

Seems to always go that way. Go to the MD find out what's wrong and then everything goes wrong.

]
Too Bad MAW doesn't let the public get involved more often, I think it would help fundraising efforts!

I agree. They should involve the public more often. The support that little boy and his family received to make his wish happen was amazing!! I love hearing about the trips the kids get but it's nothing like where a whole city turns out to help make the day even more amazing!!

:grouphug: Sorry about your uncle. (I'm sure I read it before but I'm blaming the baby for not remembering.) Glad you were able to go and be there for he service. Also glad you got to see your cousins again (it is sad that the only times you see some of these people is during weddings and funerals.)

You guys make me laugh with your Instagram/hashtag talk and the temperature talk. My friend who is in Orlando for her DCP texted me earlier this week complaining that it was 60 and she was freezing...it was 30 where I live :lmao: So I am in Tracy's camp on that one!

So sorry to hear about your uncle, Judy! I'm glad it was a nice service and you got to see some family, though. :grouphug: Also, a friend of mine and I share Disney-related YouTube videos and the other day she sent me a video saying "YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS." It was Lisa's MAW reveal! Of course I had to tell her that we were DISfriends.

Things are good here, I have a dance show this weekend so things have been crazy with rehearsals on top of homework, but I am just focusing on vacation...it's getting closer!!

Judy I just managed to catch up on your links - I love to read the chat in between but, well after 5+ hours of yard work today and a rare luxurious hot bath I am DONE. No way I could read lots and lots!

anyway, I love the girls' Halloween costumes. Lisa makes such a cute witch - I love the photo where she is laying on the floor with her hands under her chin. cute!!1 and Rachel made a great vampire. loved the scary pose!

Sounds like VJ was really nice - lots of fun things for the kids to all do.

Hope all is well after your tests (UGH) and that everyone is healthy.

BTW what an amazing job on the clock! very impressive!!!!

Judy, I am sorry to hear of your Uncle's passing, I remember you mentioned it and not sure I acknowledged it. I hope the memorial service celebrates his life.

I would love to see a picture of Lisa enjoying her new hula hoop. :goodvibes Pete really is a typical man, I just shook my head at him not telling you Lisa found them.
Thank you for your kind words and for caring. :flower3:

I need to take some pics of her enjoying the hula hoop. When I do, I will post one. :goodvibes Over the years there have been many things he hasn't told me where the children are concerned...the joke is, if you want Mom to know, you better tell her yourself! :lmao:
I'm glad you found a home to stay in January! I was cracking up at the story of the "hidden" hula hoop. :rotfl2: But I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle's passing. :grouphug:
Thanks Betsy, we were glad as well! if you could have seen the little baby blanket he used to "hide" it...he told me he brought them in so they wouldn't get damaged and forgot to take them upstairs to hide them. I hate to say it, but that IS typical. :rotfl2: Thank you for your kind words abut my uncle.
You want a hot tub, not a pool! :scared1:
I am totally serious, though, when I say as long as it's above freezing I'll be happy! Although you won't be! :eek:

It is like a husband and wife who can't get the heat right. :lmao:
:lmao:

:rotfl: Well, it's better than the doghouse, Pete :rotfl:
You kids are easy to please! A bed and a bathroom and they are happy, well and a pool :goodvibes

OOH, does the house have a doghouse? GREAT IDEA! :rotfl2: Actually, when I told the children about the house, Lisa said as long as it had a Bathroom, a bed and a kitchen, she was good to go! (she does love to eat)! The pool is the icing on the cake! And I was thinking about it...did we even SEE any rentals of homes without pools? :confused3

:thumbsup2 This is so awesome!
It really was!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

It has been warm in the upper 70's to low 80's. Yesterday we went to Hollywood Studios early and it was 66. People were wearing sweatshirts and coats. It was a little windy but we were good. The surprising thing was seeing people still wearing them in the afternoon when it was 70's and humid. It is raining today, but it is the first day it has rained. It also seems to be less busy after the Veteran's Day weekend. January crowds are usually pretty low. The first time we came was President's week in Feb. and the crowds were horrible. Never again, even if it would help the grandkids miss less school. I hope the memorial for your uncle went well. As much as I don't like funerals, I love it when people talk about their favorite stories and it brings a smile.

Now I LOVE weather like that! Even I would have been hot in a sweatshirt at 70 degrees! I am weird (much like Lisa and David) I can't take too hot or too cold...and humidity..I wilt. Yea for little little rain, great day to have a non-park day! I LOVE less busy! WE really hope the crowds are low of January so we don't have to mess with DAS too much. Cooler temps will help with Lisa!! We consdiered gong at President's day once until we saw the crowd predictions...I was shocked! :faint:

It was a special service and I was so glad I was able to go. The last few funerals for my side of the family I have had to miss because I had a child in the hospital. Illness does change the dynamics of family and friends. I felt very blessed that all 4 of my children wanted to come and support me, it was good to have them there and we all felt such a peace in this church, it was comforting. They started off the memories of when he was a baby and my Mom supplied those. She is the only living sibling of 6 left...very sobering. My Dad is also the only living sibling on his side (of 4). I am blessed to still have my parents and I know it.

I am happy everything went well today.

You are funny Judy. From what I have seen you don't have any wrinkles. :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

Wrinkles and acne..I am a mess!! :rotfl2:

LOL, hurray for an early Christmas present.
It is such a joy to see her happy face. :flower3: I LOVE to see her smile!

I would like that, thank you.

I think men have the I forgot gene. :lmao:

I hope you have a beautiful Sunday. :goodvibes

Good morning ya'll! Judy, I missed the post about the hula hoop and just saw it. Men tickle me when it comes to things like that. At least Pete tried. Some wouldn't have even done that much.

I'm glad that the memorial service went so well. There's nothing worse than going to a service and being able to tell that the preacher really didn't know the person. It's wonderful that your mother was able to give the family such touching memories.

I absolutely HATE funerals and told John that I don't want one. Give all of my organs away, build a box out of the wood in our cabinet shop and bury me out back. Or, give all my organs away, cremate me and toss the ashes somewhere in Disney World. ::yes:: I'll take either one. My train of thought is....If you didn't come see me when I was alive, don't come gawk at me when I'm dead. :p

Oh my! I was 6 pages behind already!

Congrats on booking the house. Sounds like it will be nice and spacious AND that fabulous pool! :thumbsup2 I love the idea of a house rental for vacation since you can have so many options for eating together as a family or apart if activities split you up but mostly just for the cozy family feeling.

As for your RFC meal, so sorry it was a bit disappointing. We've been there a few times and I have to say I'm not a huge fan as far as the food. The only thing I recall having is the burger which was ok. That was a hilarious quote from Lisa about the show being fun - if you are 5!! Perfect! :upsidedow

I'm so sorry about your uncle. At least he is at peace now.

Weather sound nice - honestly I would be happy with 70F and definitely can't imagine wearing a coat at 66F, those people must be from warm places. :thumbsup2

Whoohoo, some one on my side!! :rotfl: I have a feeling as far as temperature goes I will be out numbered over the week in Florida.
How cool that some one sent you Lisa's video!

:rotfl:
I think the only ones with out pools were townhouses, all the house- houses had pools. It Florida, everyone has a pool :beach: :rotfl:

Judy - I am sorry about you uncle, I must have missed a post, then I started reading about the memorial service and I realized I didn't know that he died. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of the family during this time of sorrow.

Popping in to say hi before I head to my least favorite place, the dentist. Bit into an Italian sub on Saturday and I swear the pepper in it was like a rock. I have at least 6 teeth in pain. The whole left side of my mouth. JJ can see one for sure that's broken.

Tracy, would you believe most if my neighbors don't have pools? And they don't go to Disney either...gasp!!!

What! :eek: why do these people live in Florida if they aren't going to enjoy it? :faint: :rotfl:
My goodness, I hope the dentist is ok and get you fixed so you aren't in pain. :worried: I hate the dentist too.

Yesterday was World Preemie Day, so to all of you that were preemie or had preemie hope you had a great day :goodvibes

If you all could continue to pray for Emile and his mom. They had a rough weekend. Emile has an infection that they are treating.
One of the other babies at the unit passed this weekend and they have a going home ceremony in the unit. That hit my sister pretty hard.

I was just wondering how they were doing. I'll definitely say prayers for sweet Emile and your family.

I am praying for your nephew. I remember Judy saying the ICU is a roller coaster. I hope the infection improves quickly. :grouphug: How sad to see a baby lose their fight. The parents have to be so sad and your sister must be scared. I am sorry.

Tracy, Praying for Emile and your sister!

Judy, sent you an e-mail. Hope your day is going well too!

Tracy, I will be praying for Emile! I have faith that he will fight off the infection. :hug: hugs for you and your sister.
