One and Only Resort in Dubai........help needed!!

I woudl love to hear from anyone who has stayed here.....the good, the bad and the ugly.......as we are considering a trip next December, but want to make sure we're making a good choice before parting with all that cash!!!!

I have never stayed there, but two of my colleagues (I work for a Dubai based company so people are in and out of Dubai all the time) ended up with food poisoning after eating in one of their restaurants. Personally I much prefer Madinat Jumeirah. I have this ambition to stay there once in my life.

i know my brothers stayed there a lot and loves it.

my mum and dad are going to OZ for christmas and stopping in Dubai for a few days en route, will ask them what they think
