ONDERland by Christmas - Weigh In! <*sound*>

Count me in to please.

sadeeyore - Helen - 226lbs (can not believe I've typed that - even DH doesn't know that)
This thread is great and I love the clippie:D
wovenwonder I'll PM with my details as I would love to be on this challenge.

I've been humming "Winter Wonderland" for the past 2 days. Someone help meeeeee! :teeth:

::THWACK!!!::

There, did that help? No, I didn't think so. still humming, aren't you? well, I'm sure you're not the only one because now...........................You've got me doing it!!!!

Argh! Okay, it's gonna be a long few months. Now we need a theme song to get this out of our heads.

:p

I have to agree with you. I have never been so enthusiastic about a diet in my life. Most of my friends I usually diet with just have to lose 10-15 lbs and then they are so happy that they make their goal and I end up gaining more weight because of depression eating.

Let's keep each other going.
:D

(rubbing her head) Ouch Lori, that hurt! ;)

But it didn't work..."sleigh bells ring, are you listening?"

Paula, I'm really psyched too. :)

That's awesome, Paula!!

I actually turned down pizza the other day. We had a sleepover at our home for our little girls & my hubby bought them pizza & breadsticks. It was in our home for 2 days. The first day it was hard, but the 2nd day I forgot it was in there. I still can't believe I didn't even touch it. That's so not like the "former" me. So, I totally know where you're coming from!!! :O)

Keep up the great work, Paula!!!

Pizza is really tough. Good job to you.

:D

It is hard to resist the initial temptation but it really feels great later on knowing you did it!

Lori, I hate to say it but now I am humming Winter Wonderland and need a smack too. haha

I am so proud of how great you are doing ladies! [don't think any gents have joined us yet?]. I didn't do so good tonite ---- won't go in to details, but it was pretty nasty. [chinese buffet -- need I say more]? I usually do good - sticking to the green beans, shrimp, and crab legs --- but not tonite.:(

Back on track now ----

I like 'Winter Wonderland' for our theme song!

The official Winter Wonderland Thwapping stick is in full force. I think every time somebody loses a pound, we add it to the force of the stick. Anytime anyone starts to hum, we boff them about the shoulders and head with it.

But, don't worry, before long, with all the weight we are losing, none of us will be able to lift it!

;)

Winter Wonderland here we come!!!

Does anybody have any suggestions for getting through the weekends? I do really great during the week because I am on a regular schedule, up same time, bfast same time, lunch same time, etc.

The weekends are usually very hectic, running here and there doing this and that. Before you know it, it has been 6 hours since I had anything to eat and I am famished. That is when I get lazy and grab something easy (and usually very high in points or calories) to eat.

How does everyone else handle this?

Count me in also. I was 220 at my weigh-in on Sunday, but I expect that my carb-binge yesterday and today has probably pushed that number higher. I need a challenge to keep me motivated and moving towards a more healthy weight.

Welcome NC! We are all going to be in ONDERland by Christmas!

The song is awesome. I love it!

Way to go!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I LOVE the addition of the song to the thread!!! I was about to say I was humming along, but then I read that people were getting thwapped for that!!! I'll just hum quietly to myself in the corner, ok?? ;) Oh, who am I kidding......

We're a beautiful sight
We're happy tonight
Walking to WISH Onederland

I've been wanting to sing that all day!!! You'll have to catch me to thwap me!!!

Thanks for adding me to the list wovenwonder and I love the song.

Paula, sorry no suggestions for getting through the weekend - DH, DS12, DS7 and myself have been invited to a party on Sunday. Maybe if I sit humming winter wonderland they will keep me away from the party food.

I can't do this anymore because there aren't many atkins friendly convenience products, but when I was on a lowfat plan I kept a small lunch cooler in my vehicle filled with appropriate snacks at all times. That way if I was out running around there was always something easy to grab. I would also tend to pack a substantial quicky while-I'm-out meal if I expect to be gone longer than 4 hours. usually a sandwhich or something that I can eat while driving. I also find that taking bottled water with me in the car cuts down on the amount of breakdowns. I have trained myself to drink 8 ounces or more of water whenever I am hungry just to fill in that want for things I shouldn't have. Oh, my restaurant secret is to request a glass of water before ordering *anything* else off the menu. I drink the glass of water before making rash decisions on what to eat. Don't know how well this will work for anyone else, but it does work for me.

If I'm just at home and running about tending to the house I make sure that the night before I prepare a warm-up dish for myself that takes no longer than a few minutes to nuke and eat.

Good Luck this weekend!

so am I! The music is cool, only I can't hear it all the time it's sporadic and weird! I guess I'll just go christmas shopping and I'll save the Thwapping stick for dh when he notices I've been shopping LOL!

I think I'll dig out the ol' tree while I'm at it :p

Need help please
I don't seem to be able to get the onderland clippie in my signature - not sure what I am doing.:(
Do I just copy and paste (been trying this but doesn't seem to work)
or do I do something else.
Any advice please
thanks

Hey Helen:

To get the clip, I just clicked to the link on page 1, did a copy and paste and added the
boxes to the front and back.

I don't know if there is an easier way but that worked for me.

Hi Paula
Thanks for reply
I tried to copy and paste it but when I go to paste it in my signature there is nothing to paste. Can you tell I don't know what I'm doing?:(
Helen

Did you try typing the whole thing out??

Just a suggestion.
