Once Upon A Time

I'm getting a little tired of the Regina getting revenge on Snow bit. All Regina's heartache was her mother's fault, not Snow's. I agree that something is missing about Cora's rise to the throne in her kingdom.

I also thought the scene with Rumple talking to Belle and reconciling with Bae was very touching. I hope it wasn't an act.

Nice casting. Is it just me or is young Prince Henry significantly taller than old King Henry was? So if Henry was the actual heir to his fathers throne it's kind of funny how he seemed so powerless. And why was Cora so desperate to have Regina marry into being a Queen when she should have been the natural heir to her own throne? Something's missing. I'm sure they will fill us in but when you start piecing everything together it seems like Henry loses his kingdom sometime between when Regina is born and when Cora sends Regina off on her fateful riding lesson.

My guess is that somehow it will come out that either the kingdom fell and they lost the thrown or Cora never became queen maybe because her husband died and since Regina wasn't a boy she didn't get the thrown

What year was that supposed to be in? And in what country since America never had royals

Personally, I'm glad Regina is going to be evil again. I never really bought the whole "oh, I'm going to be good now...for Henry!" Please. This woman killed her father to enact a curse on an entire kingdom for revenge. That ship has sailed.

I'm still confused as to whether or not Regina is Rumple's daughter. It's still possible. I guess the writer's aren't sure yet either.

No. She isn't Rumples daughter. Cora made it clear she was never going to have Rumples child. Regina's father is Prince Henry.

I missed what young Cora was saying to Rumple about their contract. Can someone fill me in?

Cora reminded Rumple, they changed the terms. Instead of her first born, he would receive their child. She chose power, over love and spurned Rumple.

The contract had been changed to specify her first born child with her. Since she was no longer going to have his child, the contract did not matter in that regard.

Can someone please tell me what did Cora mumble to Regina in that last scene of the show?

What an episode last night! As much as I don't like Gold/Rumpel, I was choking back tears when he called Belle, and then again when he and Bae reconciled.:sad1:

Kind of neat to see Emma do some magic. I wonder if Gold will train her? Who else is left who knows how to use magic? You know Regina will never train Emma. Maybe the Blue Fairy?

Young Prince Henry vs. Regina's father: until you mentioned it, I never thought about the differences in their heights, but you're right. Wonder what happened? Did they mention the King's name last night? I wonder if maybe Prince Henry (the guy who Cora married and Regina's bio father) dies and his father the King then marries Cora so that Regina would one day be queen? The King was definitely short enough to be the older gentleman we know as Regina's father.

The past few episodes Regina seemed to be waffling between joining her mother in "evilness" and maybe, just maybe, turning against her mother and at least trying to be good. But now, she's going to be just plain evil. I wonder what's going to happen once she realizes that she'll never get Henry back if she chooses evil?

I don't think they said Prince Henry's fathers name. If they did I didn't catch it. His dad has a bit of a mean streak while Henry young and old seems very sweet. Maybe they just didn't think we would notice...lol.

I only wish Snow hadn't come running into the room like that. Then Regina never would have known of her involvement in Cora's death. When she saw her Mothers last words were "you would have been enough" maybe that would have been enough to make her reevaluate her evil ways. But no, Snow had to ruin it. And now Regina is going to take all of her grief and sorrow and channel it into hating Smow,

I heard Cora say to Rumple that she was fifth in line. :confused3

Which is kinda how this whole thing started.......

Yeah, I overhead the line about Cora being 5th in line, and it would take a lot of bloodshed for her to ever be queen.

It takes place in an Enchanted Forest, a parallel universe, or "another realm" as they call it in this show. So same timeline, different realm.

My 10 year old was quick to point out that since Regina killed Snow's dad, now that Snow killed Regina's mom they are pretty much square.

Regina would have had to wait for the king, then his queen, then Henry then Cora to die so that would be right. She would be fifth in line. She would be the only heir of her generation as far as we know so if they all lived a natural life she should have become Queen eventually. I get a little confused by the whole monarchy thing. I think in our world one becomes Queen through marriage but when the natural heir dies the surviving spouse through marriage is no longer Queen. She becomes Dowager queen. The throne passes on to the next natural heir. I could be wrong though.

Did anyone else catch this? In the beginning of the show, I think the girl who tripped Cora was Snow's mother. The king made Cora apologize to "Princess Ava"...and later, when adult Snow said that Cora killed her mother, I think Charming said something about "what she did to Queen Ava."
