Once Upon A Time

That was awesome!!
I think it was the best show yet!
I think Emma made the hat work and Jefferson went back.

Hmmm... if Jefferson went back, that's sad since we saw that his daughter is still in Storybrooke. He will still be without his loved one.

Peter. That's interesting. I'm still not seeing how a fairytale character ended up outside of the curse (not living in Storybrooke and having his memory.... although Jefferson had his memory so wasn't affected by the curse in that way... what was up with that??)

Anyways, my first thought on Peter was Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater. Didn't Emma tell Henry a story about feeding his father pumpkin pie? LOL. Although the more time that goes by that she doesn't recognize him, the less likely this theory holds water...

:cool1: I loved it too! The last two hae been great! I also think that she made the hat work.

maybe gold is just pretending to regina that he is helping her...you never know with gold...
what a great show tonight...love it...

I think he is playing all of them to get what he wants. I do think he is working against the queen though, even if it looks like he isn't.

I was wondering something. Does anyone else think that MM and Emma used the magic hat to get back to the jail? I was wondering about it because they seemed to be there in an instant. I may just be looking for things.

I think this was the best episode so far. I really loved Sebastian Stan as Jefferson/Mad Hatter. I always love seeing the different origin stories of how the hatter became mad. I agree with the theory that the hat worked when he fell and he was transported back but what is there to go back to?
I understand her hesitation to believe but at some point Emma should start believing in the crazy stuff that happens rather than just condescending to the people who do believe to get what she wants. I was so happy when she started talking to Jefferson like she was starting to believe and then I hated her a little bit when she hit him. Plus it is amazing how they make you hate Regina a little bit more every week.

He's trapped in Wonderland trying to make a hat to get himself out of Wonderland. That's where he was when the Queen took everyone out of the fairy tales.

So Roger Daltrey was the caterpillar asking, "Who are you?" What a chain yanker! When I am promised Roger, I want to SEE him! :headache:

I expected to see the Mat Hatter be more zany but his story was really quite sad. I hope we get to see him again. He was a great character!

Exactly!

And what did he tell Emma about the many lands being next to each other - each with their own magic? There's Fairytale land, Wonderland, Neverland....

A couple of questions:

What is the name connection between Jefferson and the Mad Hatter?

If Regina's father is alive again, why is there a tomb in SB? Shouldn't her father be living in SB? Rumple thinks that Regina took the heart of her father in order to create the curse. Rumple thinks he is dead. Could the tomb be a cover up so that Mr. Gold doesn't know he is alive?

although Jefferson had his memory so wasn't affected by the curse in that way... what was up with that??

Because Jefferson was in Wonderland when the curse was enacted. He didn't lose his memory but because Grace was in Fairytale land, he lost his "happily ever after" or "happy endings" as Rumple had predicted.

Jefferson reiterated that statement to Emma - telling her that everyone was separated from their loved ones. Emma has the magic to break the curse and, when she believes in their love, she can reunite people - Ella and her husband, Hansel, Gretel and their Dad, etc. Emma hasn't believed in the love between MM and David. Maybe now she is starting to and maybe that is why the kiss in the season finale is so important. Maybe Emma will believe Jefferson and he will finally create a hat to get out of Wonderland and be reunited with Grace.

ETA, maybe Rumple is saving his "favor" that Emma owes him in order to have Emma reunite him with his love - Belle.

Found it! Sorry, it is lonely on the west coast when the rest of you are asleep. :bored:

White Rabbit is a song by Jefferson Airplane. Apparently, it was written by Grace Slick, who based the lyrics on Lewis Carroll's book Alice In Wonderland.

I think Jefferson refers to Jefferson Airplane, whose song is White Rabbit and Jefferson's daughter is Grace after Grace Slick.

I think that Regina got her father back before creating the curse. Remember she had to use his heart to make the curse work, so he died in Fairytale Land before the curse was enacted. That is why his tomb is in Storybrooke.

Great episode- so Regina and Jefferson are the only 2 people who used their real names.... so far 3 people (4 if you count Henry) know the truth. Considering they changed the opening of "One knows the truth" to "Who knows the truth?" I think they are making this up as they go along and maybe they don't have it as planned out as I thought they did.

When we saw Jefferson go into the hat the first time there was a room of doors so I assume he went there when he fell. I think the curse didn't work on him as he was protected by his madness. If being in Wonderland was the key then does that mean everyone in Wonderland is in storeybrook? What about the people behind all the other doors? I don't think so. I think we haven't seen the last of him. He will be back for Grace.

They probably had a certain storyline planned out if they weren't picked up past past the original order of episodes or for a second season. Now they have some time so they've had to shift. There have definitely been some inconsistencies between the pilot and and early episodes, and what has happened in later episodes.

I was just thinking the same thing! Where would it have already aired, before the East coast?? :confused3

It airs here at 7pm on CTV then 8pm on ABC so I can choose which to watch. The only thing that sucks is they only show the preview on the ABC feed so I haven't seen what's coming for next week.

I thought the room of doors was like a portal...each door leading to another of the parallel worlds...like someone said earlier maybe Neverland, Narnia????

WHERE is Emma's lying "super power"???? If she really could tell when someone's lying, wouldn't she have seen through Jefferson's "accident" and "limp"?

It just seems so odd that they called such attention to it early on, and then just have her get in stupid situations when it's faulty.

What is behind each of those doors? Are those the different lands - some with magic and some without - that Jefferson spoke of? I suppose this makes room for several spin offs, doesn't it?
