Very interesting.... maybe Peter Pan did grow up.... Now let's think how he got OUT of Storybrooke....
I'm thinking that either Neverland was spared by the curse or that somehow the very powerful pixie dust helped him.
He isn't Peter and the Wolf because we already met him. How about Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater?
I'm confused as to why so many of you think August is a previous fairy tale character? What makes you think that?
He came from OUTSIDE of Storybrooke, as did Emma and she's not a fairytale character. And he's not affected by the curse whatsoever.
I much prefer the theory that he's the 7 year old boy that found Emma or even that he's Henry's father far more than a Pinocchio theory.
He has knowledge and he seems to have power and he's an outsider (I firmly believe this). He also takes on the appearance of being a good guy, but the way he toys with people makes me think otherwise.
I'm dying to see him and Rumpel interact hopefully soon because I get the feeling that Rumpel had something to do with his sudden appearance in Storybrooke.
I think the Pinocchio theory is going to prove to be the right one...take a look at this behind the scenes photos of an upcoming episode called The Stranger:

Personally, of all the theories out there, that one makes the most sense to me. Pinocchio does not exist in Storybrooke- they mentioned Gepetto's alter ego not having children. Emma as a baby was found by a boy Pinocchio's age. The stranger is able to enter Storybrooke- no one from the real world except Emma has been able to do so before. And the stranger knows about the book and believes the stories are real, plus he came to help Emma believe- he has to be an insider if he knows what's going on. If he was Henry's father, A: Emma would recognize him and B: Why would he have any connection to Storybrooke?
I think people can enter Storybrooke and leave, but none of it's residents can leave.
I think the curse keeps people *out* of Storybrooke too. Otherwise, why in 28 years was Emma the first stranger to visit the town? If people from our world could come and go as they please, the town would have been discovered a long time ago.
And there is clearly a townwide reaction to a stranger being in town- this is not something they usually see.
