Once Upon A Time

August has to be Peter Pan. Peter can't tell a lie. Peter believes. August told Henry that he has to have faith. Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust!

But August DID tell a lie. He told Ruby that he saw lemurs in Nepal, but lemurs only exist in Madagascar.

Why does true loves kiss not work for David and Mary Margaret but it worked for Snow and James? It looks like there has to be more than words exchanged. My guess is David has to start believing in Mary Margaret.

I went back and watched part of the Pilot episode. When Rumple is in jail and tells Charming and SW about the curse, he describes Storybrooke as a place "where there will be no happy ever after."

Emma has the power to break the curse. She brought Ella back together with Sean (was that his name?). She brought Hansel and Gretel back to their dad. She played a part in Ruby going back to Grannie. Other than those, isn't everyone else separated from their loved one(s)? She doesn't approve of MM and David's relationship. Maybe that has something to do with why the kiss didn't work. :confused3

I think the "true love" potion is the spellbreaker to the curse. Rumpel created it long before the curse was enacted by the Queen in order to bring about its end through the product/union of Snow White's and Prince Charming's love - Emma. This is why SHE is the savior.

Rumpel has had his hand in the whole plot long before the curse was enacted. He has been orchestrating things from the very beginning. He wanted (or approved) of the curse being brought upon the world, he made sure he was well protected and favored in the cursed world, and I believe he wants the curse to eventually end (on his terms) - hence the "true love" potion. The question is WHY.

Most likely it has something to do with his being the Dark Lord or it has something to do with Regina - either bringing about her final downfall or... perhaps ultimately trying to save her from herself.

anyone else catch Regina wearing MM emerald ring?(sorry of already posted) Then when Regina was talking to David, she kept her hands covered. She wants that ring to find true love, maybe? Not sure of to make us think even more that she took the jewelry box from MM to put the heart in. I am thinking that she is going to say she either bought the ring from Mr. Gold's shop and had no idea it was MM.

Well, I did some research after reading that you thought Regina was wearing MM's ring from Prince Charming.

I re-watched some scenes. I saw that MM IS wearing the ring during the interrogation scene. And I saw the scene where we see the ring on Regina's finger, while cutting the skin off the apple. Then I also watched the scene when MM is actually in the jail cell and she is NOT wearing the ring but that could just be because they take all your jewelry in jail.

If Regina did take it from MM, it was after the interrogation scene.

Anyway, I started to think you were right UNTIL I found this Twitter interview with "Regina/Evil Queen" actress, Lana Parrilla:

You Tweeted at one point that you choose to wear a ring and that it's an unscripted character choice. I know the showrunners hold their cards close to the chest, so have you created your own personal backstory for Regina?

Lana Parrilla: On some level I have, but the choice in the ring came from my own research. It had more to do with the emerald, which is linked to Lucifer. It was just kind of my way of tapping into the dark side for this character, and I wanted to have some link into the fairytale land with Regina, just as a choice. So I ended up finding a gem that came close to looking like an emerald and wore it in Storybrooke. We talk about actors having secrets, so it was my little secret. No one even really knew about it until I got the prop cleared, and I told them why, and they said "Okay, it's fine, it's great." And then people started focusing on it, like "She's wearing this ring and it's green, it's very similar to the one Snow White ends up wearing, the one that Prince Charming is giving Snow White." And Ginny [Ginnifer Goodwin, who plays Snow White] and I talked about how funny that was, and I said "Well, I've had this since the pilot." and she said "It's so weird they gave me this prop!" So maybe subconsciously the prop master was in tune in on some level.

well done! (tho it would have been fun if she had the same ring)

Is King George in Storybrooke? Hmmmmm.....

Air Date: Apr 1, 2012

Episode Synopsis: Emma works hard to prove Mary Margaret's innocence in Kathryn's murder. Meanwhile, in the fairy-tale world, Regina must choose between marrying for love and happiness—defying her mother, Cora—or money and privilege; and the reason the Evil Queen hates Snow White is revealed.

Guest Cast Tony Perez: Valet/Father, Alan Dale: Albert Spencer/King George , Meghan Ory: Ruby/Red Riding Hood, Eion Bailey: August, Richard Schiff: King Leopold, Barbara Hershey: Cora, Noah Bean: Daniel/Stable Boy, Anastasia Griffith: Kathryn/Abigail, Bailee Madison: Young Snow White, Giancarlo Esposito: Sidney/The Mirror

I don't understand about the hearts being in the possession of the Queen. Can someone explain how she has hearts of live people...(not literally- I get this is make believe...)
We only really know that she can take peoples hearts from the episode where the Huntsman brings her the pigs heart. The EQ gets mad and reaches into his chest and pulls out his heart and puts it in a box. She tells him that she owns him and he will be her pet from now own. My personal suspicion is the people whos heart she possesses you will be able to tell to some extent because they are subservient to her. One example would be Sydney or maybe even Dr Hopper.

I just thought it meant that if she follows the path of evil, and commits such an evil act, there is no turning back. Her heart will turn forever and she would be lost.
I think so too and I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out this is exactly how EQ became evil. There is some inklings that she wasn't evil and that her Mom was pretty bad. If she killed her that could be why she is so evil.

Or a lot of people on another board think he is Pinochio. They think he turned back into the tree and then became human again after the curse.
I was thinking he might be Pinnochio too but not that he turned back into tree. Just maybe he was originally carved from the sme magic wood and when the curse took effect he found himself in the real world just because somewhere in his DNA was the magic from the tree. I'm starting to wonder though because Pinnochio supposedly learned his lesson and wasn't going to lie anymore so now I'm not so sure the theory makes sense.

I think you're probably right

I'm still in the August is Pinocchio club- same wood that the cabinet was made from- unexpectedly was transported when Emma was.... ended up being the 7 year old who "found" Emma.... Last name is "Booth" much like the booth/cabinet that transported them to Maine in the first place...

I like the booth/cabinet theory to the name connection.

I do like the August Booth thing. They seem to enjoy the play on names!
But, my DD said that she's pretty sure that the cabinet Emma was transported in remained in FTL. That would seem to rule out him being the 7 year old that found her.
Thinking though, as I write...Is the theory that the cabinet remained in FTL, and by virtue of its magical properties, became a person in our world? If so, I'm not sure how he escaped being trapped in Storybrooke?
Just thinking out loud lol!

Emma was "in the booth" and the booth "was in Pinocchio" sort of speak... I don't think the booth remaining in FTL rules out anything.
