Glad I'm not the only one that noticed just how different David/James is. Maybe David is really the brother? Wait they were look-a-likes not brothers right?

They were twins, but the "original" prince was killed. So far, we haven't seen anyone who had died in Fairy Tale Land come back alive in Storybrooke. I'd love it if your theory were true - that would be a great way to explain why David is so wimpy, and it would also explain why when he and Mary Margaret kiss it doesn't break the spell - because it isn't true love.

I think "Frederick" was the gym teacher at the school, he was dressed in athletic apparel and carrying different types of balls, they are also in a junior high school so he would be too old to be a student there. But yes, that is the same person.

I think August definitely has something to do with the writing of the book and knows what is going on in SB. I still feel he may be Henry's father.

I have to admit, when Frederick bumped into Catherine at the school, I thought he was a student because he looked so young. They should have done a better job casting that role.

Maybe but they're had to be some reasonable explanation as to why he aged and no one else has and why he could leave Storybrooke. But then if this is Rumple's curse he could do what he wants and if someone had to be the person overseeing the whole thing who would a person trust more than their own son?

August saying he "never lies" makes me lean heavily towards the Pinocchio theory. What made the cabinet "magic" anyway? The Blue Fairy or the wood or both? If the wood was enchanted what if Pinocchio was part of that same tree and thus followed Baby Emma into the "real" world?

I have to admit. When Catherine first ran into the Frederick, I thought he was a student too. But then when he was driving, it was "Ohhhhh... He's a gym teacher."

But I don't think it was bad casting, because of the age difference. We don't know how many years he was encased in gold. So while Abigail aged, he remained the same age. I think that's good casting because it avoids all the "Shouldn't he not have aged cuz he was gold?" arguments.

I started to think maybe you were on to something so I went back to the pilot episode to see who suggested the tree in case it was Geppetto. It was the blue fairy. The only problem is they show Geppetto and Pinnocchio in the same scene and Pinnocchio is already a human boy at the time they begin building the wardroble. The not telling a lie thing fits but Pinnocchio would have to be able to age into adulthood when we saw no one else aged.

This is my thought on why the kiss between David and Mary Margret didn't work. As Mary Margret said, "This isn't love." Since it's not love, it can't break the curse. Just my thought

I've been trying to figure this out, too, why the curse hasn't broken when MM and David kissed. I'm thinking it's because they're sneaking around and he's not really "free," since he was married. When MM said that it wasn't love, I'm guessing it's because their relationship has been filled with lies and sneaking around, not honesty or truth. Even now, with Kathryn missing, he's still not technically free and available.

And I'm not going to even touch August. I have absolutely no idea who he is or what his purpose is, but he's nice to look at and his character is so interesting, so I'm just going to enjoy it!

So Pinocchio was transported into the "real" world along with Baby Emma and they were found "together". He remembers where he came from, he goes from foster home to foster home- much like Emma and eventually he writes "the book" and leaves it in StoryBrooke for someone to find- hoping the curse will be broken and he will be able to be reunited with his Father.

I read that a clue for Dr. Whale is he "cant' be tied down" but being Pinocchio makes no sense for him because Pinocchio was a child when they were all transported. What about Gulliver? Remember that he is tied down by the Lilliputians?

Do any of you think August could possibly be Rumpel's son?

I'll be honest, that was my first thought- about 20 pages back. lol!
But as I rewatched some episodes and reexamined the timeline, it just doesn't fit. Unless Rumpelstiltskin's son stopped aging long before the curse.
1. He was already 14 when Rumpelstiltskin came into power.
2. Rumpelstiltskin was already in power when Archie got the tonic to be free from his parents. At that time, Gepetto was a child- 8, 9 at the most?
3. When the curse was cast, Gepetto is now in his 50's, at least.

So, using those ballparks you are talking at least 40 years between when Rumpelstiltskin comes in to power and when everyone is cursed to Storybrooke. Which means his son would be at least in his 50's- plus the 28 years of the curse- whether or not he aged.

I've given up guessing who August is and what side he is on! I'll be suprised.

But all of these Lost references is really making me want to watch that show so i know what everyone is talking about!!

I forgot this...so who would be the perfect foil for a princess? It would be a "bad" character, and August doesn't seem "bad."

Who might have been banned from Storybrooke before the curse? In a land, far, far away.... (okay, that sounds Star Wars like, but...)

What about Sleeping Beauty's prince? The whole castle was asleep, right? Metaphorically, Storybrooke is asleep...

I like reading and contemplating others' ideas. Thought I'd throw some more in...

Still leaning towards....August is a grown up Henry....or the boy that found Emma because she was looking at her file with an article about the boy finding her RiGHT before August pulled up on his motorcycle. Either way....August wrote the book but did he live the FL stories or were they told to him? Sooooooo many questions. I am not good at waiting.

The game was Space Paranoids, which was the game Flynn created in the original Tron movie and Emma referenced how she used to play it when she was a kid. Thought the nod to a non-fairy tale Disney movie was pretty awesome!!

Cute idea. I'm not sure this is the case -- there are so many interlocking stories that, for consistency's sake, they would have had a detailed outline/storyboard ahead of time.
