I'm intrigued at the thought of Regina being Rumplestiltskin's wife.
Also, earlier in this thread, someone was wondering who Emma would be in fariytale land - could she be the Swan Princess?
In fairy tale land, isn't she the baby of SW/PC that was born just before the curse started?
Given that....I dont think she can be anyone else in FTL.
Rumple did actually tell his son that she was dead, but I suppose he could be lying.I have a feeling you might be right. She keeps saying she loved someone once and lost him - never says that he died. All Rumpel told his son was that his wife/son's mother was "gone". Could be interesting if this were true!
This idea is so far out on a limb that it might fall out of the tree completely, but...
Could Henry'd father be Rumplestilskin's son? The writers DID say that Henry's father would be important to the story, but that we wouldn't know who is the daddy this season. Assuming that it took a few years for Rumplestilskin to rise to the position of the most feared in all the realms, that would put Bay at 18-ish when the curse took over. Perfect age to go to Arizona and knock up Miss Swan...
Also, one observation from Sunday's episode. When they are running in the middle of the night, and Bay says, "it feels wrong to run away" I can't make out the reply. It sounds like Rumplestilskin says, "to die is worse. I won't lose you to that ***** 's war. Meaning Regina? I was hoping someone with close captioning could help me out!
Right. Rumple says, "It's worse to die, son. I'm not having you taken away to the ogre's war."He was referring to the "Ogre" war. It's the accent.
The reason Emma was in Arizona was because she got out of FT world through the enchanted tree. Rumpel's son would be stuck in Story Brooke like all the others.

Didn't Rumple tell the EQ how to make the curse (ie. use the heart of a loved one)? If so, would he know the conditions of the curse and how it could be broken?
I've wondered, if Rumple were so bad, why did he tell SW and PC the truth about getting their child to safety? If he wanted the curse to hold (and for him to presumably be in a better place -- as he negotiated with the EQ), why would he want SW's baby to be safe and come back?
Exactly what was the issue that Mr Gold referenced when talking to Regina in the second episode (next to the apple tree that Emma hacked)? Clearly, there is a power struggle between the two of them.
Yes, Emma was sent to this world before the curse reached SW/PC. When they all return to fairytale land (and you know they will), Emma will be a character also - I'm thinking the Swan Princess. My thinking is that when Emma finally breaks the curse and the EQ finds out she was the one all along - the EQ will cast a spell on her turning her into a swan - thereby making her the Swan Princess.
And the story goes on.....
Rumple did actually tell his son that she was dead, but I suppose he could be lying.
Ahhh! Thanks for that! I skipped back 5 times and still couldn't make it out!
BUT. If Rumplestilskin could have helped his son escape from the curse, he would have I think. He doesn't appear to have a son is Storybrooke at the moment, so IF Bay didn't die in the Fairy Realms, he *should* be in Storybrooke somewhere, right?
And I did have a theory on why Marco doesn't have son. If the Blue Fairy can't undo Rumplestilskin's magic (bring Giopetto's parents back from wooden dolls) then maybe the curse could not "transport" Pinocchio since he was only real through Blue Fairy's magic- if one of the rules is that you can't override magic with magic. Like how they bound Rumplestilskin's magic with the quill, but Ella's debt to him still stood- and Thomas paid the price for it, as he said he would.
I thought that way in the beginning too but he's much too important of a character at this point. He must have some motivation. As far as Rumple goes - I think he just likes to stir things up. Yup, he's a pot stirrer. He is not on anyones side but his own. He likes to pull the strings and see what happens.
If you believe that the Evil Queen was the wife who left Rumpel when he deserted the army during the Ogre wars that also rules her out as being the miller's daughter. Of the two theories I prefer the miller's daughter one.The more I think about Regina being his wife the more I like it...
