Once Upon A Time

I finally watched last week's episode (online) and remembered someone posting several pages back they thought maybe James & Thomas (the princes) were brothers. Though as Cinderella's wedding, she hugged Snow White and said, "I'm so glad you could come." If they were sisters-in-law (or soon to be), of *course* she'd be there. Weird...and now not sure the two are brothers. But it doesn't matter...I'm still hung up on Snow White's prince being "Charming" and not Cinderella's. :)

LOVE this show!!! My favorite new show this season!!

O.K. For those of us that watch both OUAT and Grimm...I could not believe that Monroe drives a yellow VW Bug just like Emma....is there something about them that has to do with Fairy Tales? LOL
I watch both and never connected the two. I really like Monroe.:thumbsup2 Did not like the frog eating last night though.:sick:

what is with the name Swan - i've been trying to figure out that catch?
I'm rewatching episode 1 because my youngest DD had not seen it.

I noticed that Snow White was wearing clothing decorated with white feathers in every scene in the first episode except the scenes around where she is giving birth and the curse descends.

The first scene she is in the glass coffin when the prince kisses her - her dress there, at the wedding and during the council meeting are all trimmed with white feathers.
It might just be coincidence, but interesting considering her daughter's last name is Swan.

OK I know it's a Wiki link but I found this story interesting in regards to the possible reason for the Swan last name:

In a faraway kingdom, there lives a King with his twelve children: eleven princes and one princess. One day, he decides to remarry. He marries a wicked queen who was a witch. Out of spite, the queen turns her eleven stepsons into swans (they are allowed to become human by night) and forces them to fly away. The queen then tries to bewitch their 15-year old sister Elisa, but Elisa's goodness is too strong for this, so she has Elisa banished. The brothers carry Elisa to safety in a foreign land where she is out of harm's way of her stepmother.

Basically a young girl is sent away and has protection from a curse from a wicked queen. She is the one responsible for banishing the curse and saving her brothers. It's from a tale called The Wild Swans.

I think you've cracked the case!

Good find! Makes sense to me!

Enjoying this show! Love the Disney connection

This is definitely my favorite new show. I love Snow White and Prince Charming (I too am still bothered though about the Charming name since I think that is Cinderella's prince's name).

Way to go on the Swan last name. I had never heard of that fairy tale but that sounds just like Emma's story.

I think the Sherriff is the Huntsman. I don't like the fact that he is with Regina, but I do think he genuinely likes Emma.

I wish it was on tonight!

I was thinking what if Charming is their last name...then they can both be Prince Charming???

Ok, sorry if pointing this out is the obvious, but I was thinking more of the Sheriff being the Huntsman.

Well, in the story of Snow White, he is working for the Queen and betrays her by not killing Snow White.

So I'm guessing that in Storybrooke since he is working for/with the Queen, he will have some point that he will help Emma/Snow White and betray the Queen, too.

The Sheriff offered Emma a job. I'm sure EQ will think that is a betrayal.
