Once Upon A Mattress has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I loved Carol Burnett as Fred. Disney has made a new version that will be telecast in December. Carol Burnett will be in it, but not as Fred. I know she is to old for the part of Fred, but she was so great! I'm sure she will be wonderful as the queen also. I can't wait to see it. The DVD will be released right after the show is aired.

Just saw the previews for it this weekend. Looks like fun. I just hope I remember it is on.

I'm not quite getting Tracey Ulmann though---isn't she a bit old, too (or is she playing someone else???). (I know she's not as old as Carol Burnett..but I think she's older than SJP who played the lead on broadway.)
