The only issue I have with Southwest is running onboard to get your seats. Check in 24 hours ahead of your boarding time. If you get group a or b you are good. C is stress out time for me!! We have been lucky enough to at least sit 2 and 2.

Which taxes are they giving back?

Here is a quote from a new article "Since politicians were not able to come to an agreement over extending the operating authority of the FAA as of midnight July 23rd, about 4,000 people will be out of work and federal airline ticket tax will no longer be collected. The shutd...own will not affect airline safety, but it will stop airlines from collecting about $200million per week in ticket taxes that would help to to fund FAA programs. In the short term, passengers might celebrate since they will be able to save money by not paying taxes, but this means that projects will be delayed and costs might end up being higher in the long run."

You need to contact the airline. They will give you a credit that must be used from 1 year of the purchasing date.

If you have an iphone or ipad you an check in through southwest app. Then you are sure to get a or b

Hello-I don't think I signed onto the thread before but we will be on the 10/16 sailing.
I have so many things going on right now I am finally jst starting to gear up for this cruise.


I will send the info along to join the FE groups-I say I am going to do it each time and I always forget. So I wil do that today. I cannot even tell you which DVC prop we are at before the cruise, Think OKW and after is BWV or BCV... I had so many calls and waitlists between this trip and Dec , who can keep it straight!

So, We are at the beach for a week. We've never done a week at the beach but since we are doing this cruise in October, we had to let go of the idea of our normal disney vacation during the summer. I'm not sure yet if I like this beach week. When I get up in the morning, the bed is a mess unless I make it. I have to make breakfast and the dishes are still there. We have tried to go out for dinner but it's not the same. I am so use to going from event to event, I really don't know if I know how to just relax.

I'm so ready for October and a navigator full of things to do.

This is so exciting.....I didn't know they announce the families aboard the ship.

I am even more excited because I just extended our trip another three days when we get off the ship. Yay it's like another vacation...lol!

Hello! We are third time cruisers (2004-Wonder, 2006-Magic, 2011-Dream). Can't wait for our time on the Dream!! We are "newbies" to the DIS site however. What a great site!

We're bringing along our two teenage daughters, ages 17 and 15. Any others with teenagers on the cruise? They are so excited and would like to be in touch with other teenagers before the cruise.

Hello!! We're traveling with teens -- my dd is 17 and ds 15. We were just in your "neck of the woods" - spent Monday and Tuesday at Six Flags and Whitewater. It's not Disney but we still had fun!

I am happy to report my cruise is finally paid off

I was able to book Palo for 6:30Pm on the 19th. The only problem it's Claire's birthday that night so I have to tell them we want to be outta there fast

I am going to try to get Palo brunch when we board. I wanted to pay off the Disney portion of our trip but free dining hasn't come out yet for October. I have until Aug 28th to pay that off.

We were also able to book our excursion in Nassau so I better get a second job so I can pay for it. Plus I am sharing a cabanna with Twin so I am super excited

On a sad note we had a few people drop out of the FE list. I am also waiting on a few no shows. I have sent them PM's.

I have to head to Michaels this week to get my supplies. I did go to Fashion bug today to get some summer clothes. I am glad I did because everything is on clearance. I still need some capris though. I did find a beautiful dress for Palo's.

We are doing the Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter. It's gonna be Claire's B Day present Then after that we are gonna make a mad dash to have some conk fritters and get our rum cakes lol

I keep reading people mentioning the rum cakes. I planned on just staying on the boat in Nassau with the kids while my husband scuba dives but now I am tempted to try some while we are there. I definitely have a weakness when it comes to any desserts!
