Hey, I've just lost 23 pounds since July 4 doing the Insanity workout and counting my calories. I feel great and I haven't been this thin since before I was married 28 years ago. I'm trying to give myself a little cushion because I'm going to Disney World next week for my birthday and I don't want to have to kill myself before the cruise. I plan to run a few days while in Disney and I usually always workout on a cruise. I'm also planning on running a 10K the day after I get home from Disney on Sept. 17.

I also haven't had any alcohol since I started this quest, but I plan on getting a birthday margarita at Cava next week. Francisco, here I come...have it ready for me!! :rotfl:

Congrats:cheer2: I am going to walk the Castaway 5k if I can. I broke my ankle running about 20 years ago and have been deathly afraid ever since. It's nice and cool here today. I am taking my DD to the park so I can walk a few miles this afternoon.

Hello ladies :goodvibes (at least I think we are mostly ladies on here anyway lol)

Just wanted to say hello! Where is the poll for the meet? I couldn't find it!

I see other people are on the 6 week weight crunch like me :headache:. I have been trying to work extremely hard and have two pounds left to lose the medicine weight I gained. Then it's a push to lose a little bit more which was my original cruise plan . Oh well :0(.

I have my FE gifts done but then I wondered out loud... how are we going to pack these? My husband says, "Well, I wasn't going to say anything but we could have just put it all together when we got on board"....... ummm why didn't he say something?!?

Believe me I know weight is not easy to loose. I have more than just a few pounds to loose;) And I know it's not easy either when you have a medical issue that makes it even harder to loose weight. Just remember it isn't the number you are looking for but how you feel. I may not be skinny but I feel a lot better about myself and more in control.

The poll is at the top of this thread. It should be on every page but you can go to the first page and find it at the top of the first post.

We are shipping our FE gifts directly to the ship. In 2009 we shipped them directly to our resort but had to carry them around on the ship til we got our room. My DH asked me this morning on a estimate on how much our package weighs but have no idea:rotfl: It keeps getting heavier day by day! I think I spent about $20.00 to send it last time!

I've been thinking we wouldn'tneed to ship anything because we drive and part is glass so I would worry about breakage but now I think you are right about carrying a box of breakables around until 1:30? One is risky(break wise) and the other very inconvenient.
We already bring a case of water and a suitcase of essentials(swim suits, meds, camera chargers...)just in case luggage is misplaced. Last cruise they misplaced 2 of our 4 bags and we searched floor by floor untill we found it. Luckily we had only to do a few floors but that was STRESSFUL for me!

I really need to lose 10 lb.s before the cruise too but i just don't have time to exercise with my crazy schedule. Now that the kids go back to school on Tues. maybe I can at least do 15-20 minutes on the ancient ellipticle machine we have while the baby I care for naps.

What address do you use when shipping directly to ship? I don't like the idea of carrying them around ship with two kids and extra luggage....thanks
Carol

So excited to have my Halloween park tickets. The kids bought their costumes yesterday and we are on a roll. 39 days til BLT and 42 until the Disney Dream!!!!!

The address is in the DCL FAQ sticky at the top of the regular Disney Cruise Line Page:
Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

Address your package(s) to:
Disney Cruise Line Warehouse
Guest Name / Stateroom # (GTY, if you don't know what it is when you send the package)
8633 Transport Drive
Orlando, FL 32832
Phone: 407-566-8196

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

We have had so much family drama the past 4 days I have lost 5 pds. Now I realize I need to lose about 10 or 15.

I am ALMOST done with my extender gift.

I know everybody has been waiting all day and has been anxious :scared:

Yeah I know! I was looking at my budget and really have to pinch pennies this month! I still have to rent a towncar to pick us up and take us to port and back to the airport. Plus we want a day room at the Hyatt too.

Ugh I do not even want to think about budget. My DH is paid commission and the past 4 months has been horrible. We still need our Halloween party tickets, money to spend and rental car :(

We're not doing MNSSHP even though I've been promising my kids for 5 years that we would go if we ever went in October. :sad2:
A piece of our front porch blew off from a storm so we need to fix that....looks worse then we thought..thinking $$300-400. My minivan was due for inspection in August so I have to schedule that and the check engine light is on :confused3

Same here... wanted to see Cirque and Blue Man group and do MNSSHP but goodness knows where the money is coming from:confused3:sad2:

and as for eating.... well we'll eat on the cruise then starve in the villa for the next 9 days:rotfl2:.... at least it'll help when I get back to WW:rotfl2::rotfl2:
